Infernostrider 12-10-07, 02:50 AM	so smack me up and call me stupid >< was helping my GF set up a character for my new group (i'm the DM, really, but since it's a PC related question i thought i'd ask it here) and she's a druid. this has no influence on the question much really, but it's how i came up with it if a certain statscore is high enough to give you bonus spells of a certain level, in this case wisdom, and the caster level is not yet high enough to regularly obtain any spells of that same level, in this case a druid. does that mean that the player won't get the bonus spells either? answers/directions to the page where it speaks of the rule/quotes are all welcome, thanks all!

Cifer 12-10-07, 07:40 AM	However, there are some cases where you can get spells earlier than usual if one has a stat high enough - these can be recognized when the table says "0" instead of "-" at the points in question. It's usual for some prestige classes.
DrMorganes 12-10-07, 09:14 AM	Actually, you don't even have to go to PrCs to see it. Take a look at the Ranger Summary Table (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/ranger.htm). A ranger with a WIS of 12 gets his 1st Level spells 2 Levels earlier than a ranger with a WIS of 11.
