I just finished watching 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe' and it got me thinking: Has anyone ever thought of statting the White Witch.

I noticed in the end that she'd probably have some levels in wizard and fighter. She'd also probably have the innate ability to cast 'Flesh to Stone' so long as she's channeling it through a wand.

Well, just thought I had to get this idea out there. Thought it'd be interesting.

In the book (and I think it was mentioned in the movie), her stone to flesh ability was directly related to the wand. So presumably, it's just stone to flesh some high number of times/day (or unlimited) as an ability of the wand.

She's described as very strong, as well. And very beguiling.. high CHA.

She's not precisely human, she's half giantess or somesuch. Surely there's a template for that somewhere.

If you read the whole series, she first appear in one of the later books which came first (?!?!), where she had destroyed her own world. I would rate her as a sorceress with a wand of petrification, or possibly a wizard (nah, sorceress or bard, or possibly druid for the weather-magic).

She also had a word that killed EVERYONE but herself.

Let's see....

The White Witch
Medium Monstrous Humanoid
HD: XXd10
Special Attacks: Plotdevice
Special Qualities: Plotdevice
Environment: Plotdevice
CR: PC level+3
LA: Oh, no you don't!

Plotdevice(dm): Whenever the White Witch would be subject to an attack, spell or harmful effect, she has an unspecified number of readied actions of "Use Rod of Flesh to Stone on the motherf***er". Other creatures with the Plotdevice special quality are immune to this effect.
Plotdevice(dm): The White Witch is not subject to damage or other harmful effects from any generic creature (ie. creatures without one or more Dungeon Master special abilities).

That seems about right...

Dude...that's perfect. It quite neatly fits every aspect of the White Witch. Good job.

It kind of reminds me of something from White Wolf's Gehenna book they put out at the end of the old World of Darkness. The Antediluvians all had level 10 Disciplines, which all were, in essence, the same power. I think it was called Plot Device or something similar, and the "mechanics" were pretty much "whatever the Storyteller needs the power to do in the course of the story". It was actually more verbose than that, but I haven't read it in two years or so (I've been engrossed in the new stuff), so I could be slightly off.

In any event, I'm with you on your statting, there. :)

Awesome sauce. Now I want to introduce her into my campaign somehow.
