i just lent my players handbook to a friend but i need to make a NPC. the problem is i forget what to do to change the ability scores(it needs to be a higher level character)

please help :weep:

Typically, you take the rubbery end of your pencil and move it across the offending score with a sweeping motion. Then adjust the score as necessary :P

Joking aside, I'm not sure what you are asking for but you may be able to find the information you need in the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org).

You gain one ability score at lvl 4,8,12,16,20

So straightforward? All those politicians sure make such a big fuss over amending their constitution...:P

Add one point to one ability every fourth level. Does that help?
