I am currently playing a 3rd level ninja , CE(heheh) I was thinking about multi-classing with rogue. now is the sudden strike and sneak attack (as long as not flanking) stackable? or should I stick it out as a ninja? I like the ninja class, but rogues have a kick butt load of skills... hmmm?

Sudden strike and sneak attack do stack, but remember, getting the sudden strike bonus is harder then getting a sneak attack bonus.
For sudden strike you need the person denied dex, not just flanked.
For sneak attack you need the person denied dex or flanked.
Both are ineffective against undead, constructs, etc.

I have been considering a ninja/rogue build myself, one feat you will need, and may already have, is improved feint.
A feint will cause the target to be flat footed on your next attack, in which case improved feint (move action) attack (with sudden strike+sneak attack) will be a powerful combination.

However, continuing as a ninja will advance your ninja abilities, and cross classing will cause the loss of some abilities.
Taking one level of rogue as your 4th level will give you an added 1D6 sneak attack, but will slow down your sudden strike damage progression.
Switching to full rogue now will, again, give you added damage, but reduce some of your rogue progression.
If you are planning to continue playing to high levels, and use poison, level 9 ninja gives the improved poison use, while rogues never really get poison related skills.

Complete Adventurer says that Sudden Attack damage stacks with Sneak Attack damage when they both apply. So as the question was asked, yes both Sudden Attack and Sneak Attack stack when you are not flanking.
