I don't understand how you factor CON with how much HP you have a so on. Could someone help me make getting stats a bit simpler? Thank You.

Whatever the bonus (or penalty) is according to your con score, you add (or subtract) that many points to your HD roll at every level (though you will always get at least 1 HP per level if you have a penalty).
As an example, you have a +2 bonus to constitution with your 1st level fighter. You will start with 12 HP (max at first level=10, +2 for con). At 2nd level, you roll a 6, and again, add 2 for a new total of 20 HP.
If your con bonus ever changes, you retroactively apply this to all prior HD, so if your fighter has 25 HP at third level, and increases his con score at 4th level, raising his bonus to +3, they would get 3 more HP (1pt per level, new total 28) then roll for 4th level and add 3 to that HP roll for their new total.
I hope I didn't confuse you even more.

Edit: Out of sheer embarrasment.

Minor math error - 12+6+2=20, not 18.

The bonuses you get from your stats depend on how high they are the higher they are the higher the bonus. A str of 12 will give you a bonus of +1 while an strength of 16 will give you a bonus of +3 rather than 1.

Str: determines attack and damage bonus
Dex: determines your dodge ac, initiative modifier, ranged attack bonus and your reflex modifier
Con: determines your additional number of Hp per character level as well as your fortitude save bonus
Int: determines your number of skill points per level and is the ability of a wizard for casting spells
Wis: determines your wilpower save bonus and is the ability of a cleric and paladin and druid for casting spells
Cha: is the ability of a sorcerer and bard for casting spells.

Each ability also has skills tied to it. So the higher that specific ability the better you are at certain skills. As you see from the list dex may affect much more than strength does and may incline you to take a higher dex take into consideration that str will be used more often than dex. But do not neglect the other stats in order to get one stat realy high as they are all equally valuable to you. They all have their use in certain occasions eg: str in combat while cha may get you what you want in a nice conversation.

Hope this helps
