| bruiserdeck11-03-06, 07:10 AM | I am going to try a prank on a player in my group. well it will be on the character. but i need a spell that will convince a living guy he is dead. he will not have to sit there dead.. i just want him to be .... open to sugestions such as. "your dead... but i think since you didnt know you died your a living dead. not an un-dead they are dead people who know they are dead but some one woke them up, which is probably why un-dead are so ****** all the time. your just a living not un-dead dead guy. I guess you can still hang out with us untill we have enough money to rezz you but you gotta sleep in the cemetary." any one got a suggestion? |

| RobbyPants11-03-06, 02:11 PM | There's a low level (1 or 2) psionic power (I wish I could remember the name) that convinces someone they're disabled (but not dead). The only other thing I could think of is a semi-powerful, and well done illusion. If they guy failed his will save you might try to convince him that he died... (bit of a stretch) |

Glibness Transmutation Level: Brd 3 Components: S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Personal Target: You Duration: 10 min./level (D) Your speech becomes fluent and more believable. You gain a +30 bonus on Bluff checks made to convince another of the truth of your words. (This bonus doesn’t apply to other uses of the Bluff skill, such as feinting in combat, creating a diversion to hide, or communicating a hidden message via innuendo.) If a magical effect is used against you that would detect your lies or force you to speak the truth the user of the effect must succeed on a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) against a DC of 15 + your caster level to succeed. Failure means the effect does not detect your lies or force you to speak only the truth. Suggestion Enchantment (Compulsion) [Language-Dependent, Mind-Affecting] Level: Brd 2, Sor/Wiz 3 Components: V, M Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Target: One living creature Duration: 1 hour/level or until completed Saving Throw: Will negates Spell Resistance: Yes You influence the actions of the target creature by suggesting a course of activity (limited to a sentence or two). The suggestion must be worded in such a manner as to make the activity sound reasonable. Asking the creature to do some obviously harmful act automatically negates the effect of the spell. The suggested course of activity can continue for the entire duration. If the suggested activity can be completed in a shorter time, the spell ends when the subject finishes what it was asked to do. You can instead specify conditions that will trigger a special activity during the duration. If the condition is not met before the spell duration expires, the activity is not performed. A very reasonable suggestion causes the save to be made with a penalty (such as -1 or -2). Material Component A snake’s tongue and either a bit of honeycomb or a drop of sweet oil. |
