greetings. I'm in epic levels and counting my ARTIFACT, all my equipment, and all my gold I'm about 296804 gold short of my proposed wealth level.

So I need to take a year off to use my recently acquired "Craft Wondrous Item" feat to finally get the items I need.

Does anyone know of an alternate plane where time passes slower that I could convince my DM to use for the purpose of crafting items to make me capable of surviving epic level encounters?

Talk to your DM. If he isn't willing to help you, nothing we can do will help you.

Create your own demi-plane that has the timeless trait. Other than that I don't have a clue.

To the best of my knowledge (and I own Manual of the Planes), there isn't one. MotP mentions that time can flow at different rates on different planes, but IIRC it doesn't actually offer examples.

If you have a little time, you could do some in-game research and see if you can find one that fits your need, assuming that your DM is ok with the idea...

Your character (and the party) could just not adventure for a year. Visit family, say 'hi' to the old neighbors, maybe help a few fledgeling adventureres along for a while.

Is there something so pressing that you can't just take a year off?

Talk to your DM. If he let you take craft wonderous, he should let you make items.

How about not making them all at once.

Make a list of what you want to make and how long each will take.
Start Crafting.
As the time goes by and things come up, judge whether or not to continue crafting that item or adventure.

higher a bunch of other people to craft for you so you finish a lot sooner?

Oh my.

Can't have other people make them, we're the only high level casters in the world (apparantly).

Can't take a year off. Everything is always chaotic and urgent. Has been since level 12 or so. We get about 2 days off at most. Its like a full time job.
Pretty much once a month some evil god destroys a town or a princess gets kidnapped.

How do I create a demiplane?! I would love to do that.

Have your DM check out the Planar breach section of the Planar Handbook. If you can find a "Timeless" type of breach, then you can get a year out of a round, assuming that "timeless" is the opposite of "Flowing Time", which is how I read it. :)

Talk to your DM about him giving you more items, specifically given to you by NPCs to make up for this gap?
