NinjaPenguin 01-11-06, 07:13 AM	playing a fifth lvl game allowed any book we have in hard copy which is almost all. there is a cancer mage who is our beat stick with a 70 strength. and an elven omnificer who is a know it all skill monkey. I am unsure what kind of charcter to play i would like to play an artillery caster that will bang the hell out of people. does any one have any thing to help me.

Darkmatter20 01-11-06, 09:55 AM	Better check the "Disease Host" ability of the Cancer mage. He doesn't just become immune to the negative effects of the disease but all effects of the disease. "The Cancer mage becomes a carrier of every disease he encounters, though he remains immune to most of their effects" The first part of the ability which mentions negative parts of the disease is only saying that cosmetic changes due to the disease still occur. All the mage suffers from the disease is the cosmetic changes. He's immune to all other effects of the disease. So no +2 str for him at all. Frankly with 70str he's stronger then a Great Wyrm Dragon and hes only 5th level. How did he meet the requirements for Cancer mage by 5th level. It requires a base fortitude save ( before stats or feat etc additions) of a least +5. Is he dipping through a large amount of classes to increase it? In any case he doesn't get the positive effects of the disease.
