i need help with character developement [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-16-05, 02:36 AM ok to be honest the last time i actually had fun playing D&D was about 3 yrs ago. this is due to probably the lack of preperation time(not to mention character sheets). the only characters i ever had fun playing were my first 2, my first one was a crazed Priest named Lutulla(2nd ed char with a twist of custom ablities which basically worked out to be sorcerer spells pretty much) and a Fighter/Illusionist named Haephestus. just to regale for a moment about my first char, her first action in the game was to attack the tree she was sleeping under, then to chase a peasent into town who saw her while screaming "it called me stupid! and i swear i can talk to trees!" ahhhh i loved that character ^_^.
i just need to remake her but i dont really know how id go about it with 3.5ed to make her stats and skills fit her.

also what should i do about background and what not?

05-16-05, 10:56 AM Do you have the Player Handbook? If no, take a look at the SRD (see the link in my signature).
Basically, you should play a druid or a cleric with the Plant Domain. This way, you will really be able to talk to plants!

lol well the idea behind that action was to look and actually be, for lack of a better word, insane. basically my idea for it was someone who was erratic, funny, and nice. so in essesnce i wanted her to be exactly represent chaotic good.

05-17-05, 04:57 PM You might take a look at Druid/Bard with the final goal being that prestige class in complete adventurer (can't remember the name right now). It would give you some sorcerer spells and you would have the cleric type profile from being a druid.

As for background, you could have been raised by a druid who died. You lived a while alone. Came across a bard who taught you some skills, but when he/she realized you were bonkers from living alone in the wilderness so long he/she took off.

Of course, that is just an idea off the top of my head...
