Improved Rage sounds like something out of Complete Warrior. Whatever the source, it's certainly not a Core Rules feat. Be sure to check with your DM before taking it.

Yeah, if he doesn't allow it Improved Initiative is always a good thing. Or weapon focus if you start taking alot more fighter levels.

Which you would be doing. XD

I've seen it but never actually used Improved Rage (and lack the book for it).
Plus, it's not on srd. Really, the only bonus might be a few more rounds of Rage.

Personally, I'd go Weapon Focus and Improved Initiative and take Cleave at 2nd level fighter

You and you illiterate characters XD

Definately cover the fact you can hit and have a chance of hitting first with this character. Don't forget you can charge 2X your landspeed and get in an attack.

You will want to hit often, and hit hard, so (thinking in core only)...
Power attack (1st lvl)
Weapon focus (fighter feat)
Cleave (3rd lvl)

Tell me wich books can you have access to besides player's handbook, and what edition are you playing (3.0 or 3.5), and we can think a little more... weapon specialization in your 4th lvl of fighter is a good idea.
