i need some payback and i need you to help me [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-25-06, 07:34 PM :D ok so am about to have a game seccion with some friends BUT my DM and his borfriend just decided to the game LATe so me and my friend want some payback
i am a soulknife and my friend is a monk

so in what IN-game payback can we do (the dm is very hard on deity she is always asking us for prayers and stuff) we are actually invited to some huge town party or something
so what can you guys come up with?
pls answer quickly

03-25-06, 07:41 PM First you should asker her why she's so big on PC prayers? If it's part of your class to pray, then pray. Having said that, get all PC's together and agree that no one plays any religious characters!

Next, you cannot and should not ever try to solve OOC problems in game IC. Doing so is poor sportsmanship, and hurts the game for everyone.

And, anything you as a PC can do, the DM can exact vengance a thousand times over.

What you should do is talk with your DM and tell her that when she was late it made you feel bad.

Solving OoG problems In Game does nothing except give the DM a very good chance to put in some vengance. So, think... OoG problems will be solved OoG. Get it?

03-26-06, 02:09 PM Why should you get back at her (him)? I mean, she has a personal life, and if you make her feel like you don't appreciate all the work that she puts into it, She might just take her game somewhere else.

The praying thing might be leading up to something later in the campaign.

Ok, Unfortunately there's too little to go on here. Were they late to the game session? Did they have to re-schedule? Do you really want the DM annoyed at you?

If we could have a coherent problem we might be able to help more. But in general, I'd probably dismiss getting any kind of payback - it could create long term problems.

I know that we keep bashing you for your grammer, but I'm assuming that english is your first language. Anyway, a good ingame prank is to invite the others to your house, and when they open the door, have a bucket of water fall on them.
