Ken_Reigar 01-02-06, 09:51 PM	Ok so my friend (Dustin) and I are in this battle with 2 of our other friends who claim they can whip us. Dustin and I have our strategy on how to kill them. We know they're going in with a druid and the other character is unknown, however we're 90% sure it's going to be an arcane caster. Dustin's going to make a halfling wizard and cast antimagic field on himself and he's going to jump on my back so we'll both be protected and I'm going to carry him around while I beat the hell outa them with a bad*ss melee character. I'm thinking of making a nice little frenzied berserker armed with a fullblade to take em, but I know there's gotta be something better. I'm looking for suggestions towards a kick*ss melee character that's as close to unstoppable as you can get. Any suggestions?
godrik glendower 01-02-06, 11:42 PM	As far as your combination it sounds okay, but if he casts anti-magic field on you and then jumps on your back, he's now only a hinderance. he should find a way to defend himself against their attacks (mirror image and non-detection are awesome for this)and still be able to be effective while you do the ginsu thing. Frenzied berzerker is a great class to be able to deal damage, but be careful of will saves. Good luck. It sounds like fun.
Zhymth 01-03-06, 06:43 PM	A great melee character is a rogue. Give him a broadsword or a rapier and be sure you have both a high initiative for sneak attacks and a high strengh and dexterity. Either that or go into rage as a barbarion. A bastard sword is a barbarion must. If you beat these guys post about it after mercilessly throwing it in their faces. That would be the awesome thing to do.

That would be the awesome thing to do. haha oh I'm sure I'll end up putting it a few places... you see this is the second time they've challenged my friend and I. the first time we beat the HELL outa em. it was a four vs. four that time but now we're takin it simple and they want retribution so we gonna have to show em up again haha thanks for the suggestion

He won't be a hinderance. As long as he doesn't exceed my max load it's all cool. As far as the will saves are concerned, that's why I he's gonna be on me with the AMF cast. It automatically negates all magic that tries to enter it so nothin will get to us. And plus... we have a good guess as to what their strategy will be.
xvthreetwoonevx 01-04-06, 01:01 AM	Double posts are bad. Triple posts are worse. :) Leap Attack from Complete Adventurer'll be a feat you want to look into, it'll help your power attack. Shock Trooper from Complete Warrior is a good one, switch your Power Attack penalty to AC, so you can make sure you hit them and power attack for full. I beleive two levels of Ronin (CW) would be nice in the build, too, for Banzai Charge so you can make sure you hit them. If you have any more feats to spare, Karmic Strike or Combat Brute (Both from Complete Warrior as well) would be both be great additions. Good race would be Half-Ogre from Races of Destiny, although the +2 LA might be a little hefty. Goliath from Races of Stone has a lower LA, although less of a strength bump and only powerful build instead of actually being large. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, though you may want to go Bear Warrior instead of Frenzied Berzerker, they have a much larger strength increase, but none of the fancy Supreme Power Attack that the FB can get. Hope that helps, good luck. That's really good... I already took the first idea though. I made a 4 levels of barbarian and 1 level of fighter (because I needed one bonus feat). I prestiged half way through Frenzied Berserker and then I took two levels of Ronin for the Banzai. This guy hits f_ckin HARD! haha it's great Thanks for ideas. I'll keep em in mind for the future
