| fallabel08-15-05, 10:20 AM | Chapter 2 of the BoED has a detailed description of what Sainthood requires. |
| JohntheDM08-15-05, 11:30 AM | Then show your DM that you have earned the description of "saint" do no evil, help others in need, be pure in thought and deed sacrafice for others (not just once in order to acheieve the prequisites for sainthood but make a habit of it). Secondarily, roleplay your character with all your might as a three dimensional, interesting person-that more than anything makes a DM receptive to player requests. |
| wonlee7608-15-05, 11:57 AM | First: Ask your DM if he's going to allow the template to begin with. DM's do have the discretion to simply say no. Second: Presuming the first hurdle is passed and the DM approves of the template, see if you and the DM can work out how to get it. In the case of the Saint Template, there are already details on how to acquire it. Other templates like Half-Celestial and stuff would need to be worked out with your DM. (Some kind of level progression set up or some IC story reason how you got the template, etc.). |

| Ze_Mighty_Vegetable08-15-05, 01:45 PM | Prove yourself to be a competant and mature roleplayer time and time again with more than one character. This should be the prerequisite for any template/feat/Prc. |
| Lord Schpungus08-15-05, 04:29 PM | Bah. If you're going to require competent, mature players to take anything but core, you're going to play core only 'til the end of time. A much better option would be to require a competent, mature player to take a 'broken if twinked' PrC. |

Roleplay the hell out of the character in a way that justifies in character gaining the template. And supplying the DM with the vice of their choice OOC is usually a good idea too. ;) |
