| User512701-20-07, 10:50 AM | I'm sorry, I read this about 15 times and I still didn't understand. A level 4 elf rogue has a percentage? a percentage for what? best I can figure is you are converting from a previous edition. Rogues don't use percentages for hiding, sneaking, picking pockets, etc |
| hmmmm01-20-07, 10:53 AM | Um, yeah, I'm going to go with his responce. If we are still using percentages in 3.5 then I'm playing my rogues wrong.. |
| Mitchell01-22-07, 02:10 AM | It is old 1st/2nd edition stuff where a thief recieved a percentile chance of doing thief stuff. Check your other post here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=775836) and you will see the same thing. It is out of date material. Either ask your DM, give up on the trolling, or find a downloadable copy of 1st/2nd edition rules and get them. |

IIRC, each thief ability in 2e had a base of 30%, except Read Languages, which was 60%. Elves got +10% Hide, +10% Move Silently, and -5% Climb Walls. At 1st level, the player distributes 30 points among the abilities, and 15 at each level thereafter. |
