Correct me if i am wrong but i think pun-pun can't use the divine minion template to transform into the ubercreature:weep:

the minion template says that he can wildshape into one or more creatures depending on what deity he serves. Sharuhk is mentioned no where. please say i am wrong as I would rather not be the killer of a legend. or if i am not wrong then please say that i am not the first one to see this. please say these things with proof, not just to made me feel better.

That's not the only possible way to make Pun-pun. There's several versions of *lower* level that can make it without Divine Minion.

He doesn't use Divine Minion to wildshape into a Sharuhk. He uses the wildshape to gain entry to Master of Many Forms, then uses that to wildshape into a monstrous humanoid (Sharuhk in this case).

At least, that's how he used to do it. I hear he's a level 1 human Ardent now, though I'm not sure.

At the moment, Pun-Pun uses a high Knowledge (the planes) check (25? 30? I can't remember exactly), calls Pazazu, and uses the Candle of Invocation trick to get infinite wishes.

At least, that's what I think the current version is.

How are yous uposed to get the candle and and knowledge so high at low levels?

The Candle comes from Pazuzu. He grants wishes to non-evil people who call his name. The knowledge check comes from the Char-Op boards. I believe they got the modifier high enough to make it on a 1.

By the way, check the OC boards. There's a way to get Pun-Pun power without Manipulate Form. Search for "Ghola Character."

Hmm, I'm sure wanting ultimate power for yourself isn't exactly what I would call nonevil

Sure it is. Being ultimately powerful isn't automatically evil. Only if you kill people are opress people using that power would it be evl.

Pun Pun is impossible only if your DM has 2 brain cells to rub together.

Not complete. Pun-Pun is only possible if the DM and the PLAYER have that many. Because he's not MEANT to be used in a game, and if you do, you deserve a shot (either from a hammergun or an arrow through the neck, depending on your role). Since he's not meant to be used in a game (he's merely a thought experiment), if he shows up in a game, something is wrong.

Yeah. Deitys are the closest thing to ultimate power in D&D, and last i checked there were good deities in the books :)

Dude, TG hasn't finished that yet.

Nah, as a DM I would just let the player do Pun-Pun. Who cares? The player has the fun for exactly 30 mins he needs to describe how he pulls the stuff off.

Then I simply say "Fine. Your character is a god now. He leaves this campaign, as it is obviously for 5th level mortals. Roll up a new character."

Oh, and of course the next month will have regular appearances of Pun-Pun-worshipping kobolds. Just to allow the other players the fun of killing them.

He's got most of it set up. The root part of it, The Arcane Nova, is completely done, and is achievable at level 1.

Dude, until it is figured out how to use the loop to gain everything he needs it won't be complete. I am not even sure that casting infinite spells in a turn is enough to reach pun-pun power. I have faith that TG will make it close at least. How about we stop cluttering this board with pun-pun/ghola remarks, and keep it to the oc board.
