Immune to fire--items? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-19-06, 05:24 PM If you're immune to fire, do you still roll a reflex save to see if your items take damage?

09-19-06, 06:00 PM My DMs always had us do it unless their is a ability on an item that puts a "shield" up over your gear. I say no because if your PC is immune to fire his/her body is not their items.

Like the age old question : If I make armor out of dragon hide will it be immune to the energy type uses by the dragon<NO ..when the Dragon dies the Immunity goes with it. I think in may be easer to enchant due to its masterwork make and the fact it is dragon skin.;)

So say the Goldferret You didn't say is you have evasion or not .

09-20-06, 06:32 AM The safe way is to read carefully the description of the effect that gives you the ability.

I think it is reasonable to assume that spells and magic items offer protection also for your gear, but things like racial abilities do not.

09-20-06, 08:27 PM The thing is, RAW, Dragonhide armor is immune to the type of energy. just the armor, nothing given to the wearer.

09-21-06, 12:05 AM If you are immune to fire, but your items are not you should roll to see if you botch. If you do one of your items takes the damage, which will probably kill it.
