Ok so we are playing a new campaign nad ive decided to play a modified demagouge(from oathbound). Basically i can cast healing spelles because we needed a cleric in teh group and cant fight. My wepon and armor proficiencies are NONE and NONE. But on the good side i can talk to anyone and get anyone to stop attacking just with words. My probelem is im a lvl 7 with 20 hp and ide say around 22-24 ac. so anything that hits me kills me outright! now my abilities are as follows str 4 dex 10 con 10 int. 24 wis 28 cha 36 so i have the leadership feat that i took at lvl 6 and was wondering what to go with i wanted to do a true necroancer from LM (we have no arcane spellcasster in group its uncool to do anyting but a rouge?) but that wouldnt make a good bodyguard so i decided i might go with a fighter build say fighter/deulist/a bodyguard class if there is one? so idk ide just like anyone elses opinion on the matter and if you have a bodyguard class please if you could leave stat block or book and page and name. Anyways any help would be much appreciated. So any good cohort build would be much appreciated. Also my character is bent on world domination and i actually would like to do this so if anyone has any good ideas to go with that that would be cool too lol ive asked a lot but any help would be much appreaciated?

Personally, I don't think that a cohort should be something that you build. A cohort's a person you recruit, not a construct. I think you should just tell your DM that you want to recruit a bodyguard. In any case, I would recommend a fighter/barbarian/ranger, any of them would do, who carries a spiked chain, for plenty of AoO's on anybody who wants to come near you. A reach weapon might also work if your cohort doesn't want to spend a feat.

i too think cohorts shouldnt be built but right now our group of 4 eople consists of 4 competeing rouges and me a moderate cleric and speaker so we either need a spellcaster or a fighter? so yea? Also me and the DM both respect each other and he knows i ownt do stuff just to power myself im doing it for the good of the party?

The tactical fighter prestige class does REALLY well as a bodyguard. It can be found in the minitures handbook. I can't say too much about it, because it isnt OGL. However, it has abilities that let the fighter take damage instead of an ally he is standing next to.

Make it's non- prestige levels Marshall, and he is a boost to your whole party. (Also found in the minitures handbook)

That's my cohort atm anyway. Working wonders.

Defender of Sealtiel from the Book of Exalted Deeds could be good too. Though, I suppose that it'd be tough to get an Exalted cohort if you're trying to take over the world.

Spiked Chain-wielding fighter-type with the feats Combat Expertise, Improved Combat Expertise (Complete Warrior), and Allied Defense (Shining South). You now have a body guard that can provide you with a Dodge bonus to AC equal to his BAB, every round.

depends on what your party mainly has been fighting against and thus what you need protection against. if your just worried about melee attacks go for a mix of fighter and ranger but if your facing alot of magic users id throw in a 2 or three ranks of occult slayer from the CW.

Well, if defense is what yer lookin for, Dwarven Defender. Let him take a stand somewhere and stay behind him. Once they approach him, they gotta get through him to get to you.

Fire up a Devoted defender.

Sword and Fist has the class. It's the ultimate "meatshield" class.
