| shadowmimiiru02-05-06, 09:52 PM | I just had a player multi class to an Incarnuim Class and we can't figure out what the Type Subtype means in the character description section. Any help would be great. I've been scanning the Magic of Incarnuim book but just cna't find it. thanks shadow |
| TalonofTiamat02-05-06, 10:17 PM | You wouldn't find "subtype" described in Magic of INCARNUM, it's describd in the Monster Manual. It's basically having a second type, the races in MoI don't get anything for having their subtypes, so don't sweat it. |
| ssvegeta55502-05-06, 10:27 PM | Maybe your looking for is the Incarnum subtype detailed in page 169? |
| Secrets Untold02-06-06, 06:31 PM | Incarnum. Not incarnium. And how do you get incarnuim? "In-car-new-im?" |
| Vacerious02-06-06, 08:28 PM | Talons of Tiamat has it about right. For the OP's convenience, I've typed up the Incarnum subtype. Any creature with incarnum-based powers has the incarnum subtype. An incarnum creature can be born with the subtype or can gain it during its life. A creature meeting any of the following criteria has the incarnum subtype. *The creature has an essentia pool. This category includes characters with levels ina character class that grants an essentia pool or creatures with feats that grant essentia. *The creature has one or more preshaped soulmelds (that is, soulmelds that are automatically shaped on it without any effort on its part.) *The creature was created through the use of incarnum or from raw incarnum. Traits: Creatures with this subtype have no specific shared traits other than thos given above. The incarnum subtype merely identifies creatures that might be vulnerable to spell and effects that target incarnum creatures. |
