Inspire Courage (Bard) and Concentration [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-15-06, 05:01 PM Query: Inspire Courage takes a standard action to start. It doesn't seem to mention whether it takes concentration or not to maintain the music (since it doesn't, I'll assume not).

So, Bards can continue to take other actions while singing to Inspire Courage? A bard could quite easily fight and sing simultaneously?

If anyone can support this (or debunk it) with specific page references, that'd be great, thanks.

11-15-06, 05:03 PM A bard can inspire courage while fighting. I believe it is a free or no action to maintain IC, however spell casting is out of the question unless you have the feats or a few certain spells.

11-15-06, 06:12 PM I alway found it rather funny that, by RAW, a Bard could sing to inspire courage all day, non stop.
there is no limit on how long he can do it, as long as he doesn't mind making a bunch of noise.
