| NcT11911-18-04, 06:19 PM | Okay a few things before I explain me and my friends we are all going to be telling the story unless one person opts not to. Also I had no idea where to put this thing. We are all lvl 8 to start out with Me-Human NE Rogue4/Ninja Spy4 WS-Human LN Cleric AS-Human CE Ranger (afficted with lycanrapy) Ranged combat JW-gnome CG Rogue MP-Elf NG Ranger Melee combat My question is if I were to add a new person what do you guys sugguest for thier class or race or even alinement..? |
| Ricohard_Draconis11-18-04, 06:50 PM | the glaring gap in your party is: Arcane You have no arcane caster. I would say you need a Wizard or sorceror to act as artillary. |
| allenchan11-18-04, 06:50 PM | LG wizard, who kills the NE and CE characters |
| Board_Rider11-18-04, 07:02 PM | Well first, off topic I know, a well played party with these varied alignments would probably not last too long. LN with CE? Recipe for trouble. As far as holes? I agree with Ricohard_Draconis in the fact that you have no Arcane users. True, a Rogue can use the skill Use Magic Device, but depending on your campaign...you may need more. A BattleSorcerer may be useful here as well...CG or CN in alignment. |
| NcT11911-18-04, 07:08 PM | The LN char only cares for law so only if you break the law shall he punish them. I Was kinda thinking a Magic user or a tougher melee combatant. Since the next time we get together I will be Dm I will ask about CG Gnome's backstory and such same with LN Cleric since its Ws second char his first was eaten by AS in Wolf form (Don't ask long story) |
| The_EvilDungeon_Master11-18-04, 10:11 PM | How do you have an NG, NE, and a CG, CE? Somehow evils and goods just don't mix well for me... :D |
| Bringslite11-19-04, 12:14 AM | You lads have a real problem here, m'kay? I wouldn't worry about another player. Roleplayed realistically, this party should kill itself off soon. |
| CCShinoby11-19-04, 02:49 AM | Ok if you would play smart this could really become a good party .. but its true what other people say. The allignment do not match and (just like happened in our own party) eventually one of you guys will bash each others head. Try to play a bit smart too ..... survive XD |
| NcT11911-19-04, 03:13 PM | The party work decently one cares only for law mine cares only if I get paid I'll help the gnome in sneaky and werid the wolf/ranger gets his kicks from eatting dead creatures hearts while we walk slowly away from him. |
| On_the_wings_of_TPK11-19-04, 03:39 PM | The party work decently one cares only for law mine cares only if I get paid I'll help the gnome in sneaky and werid the wolf/ranger gets his kicks from eatting dead creatures hearts while we walk slowly away from him. Uhmm yaaaa....... so the CG what doesn't have a care in the world about watching this? your missing arcane. Uhmm yaa i don't think it really matters though becuase the alignment gaps are glaring, I find that evil generally doesn't work, and never mixes with good. |
| NcT11911-19-04, 04:37 PM | We are not alinment heavy payers to us it is more a guidline. I do thank all who are giving thier opinions. The Ng ranger is the party's glue He hired my char to help him With a lot of encouragement (Lots of gold). The wolf Ranger is an odd guy that fights like a figter without ANY!! melee weapon only a bow unless he fail his Will and turns into a WereWolf. Cleric only cares for laws and Gnome I haven't got his background yet. If any of that helps others. |
| Starmage2111-19-04, 05:39 PM | well, it depends on how these people are playing their alignments. A CE character might just to too far to be considered even neutral when he acts on impulse (instead of just beating a captured foe, he might beat him to death). CEs are not the worst of the worst. That spot is reserved for NE people. Always remember, a Lawful Evil person would kill you because he needed to. A Chaotic Evil person would kill you because he felt like it. A Neutral Evil person would just kill you. *edit* I agree that you need some arcane to fill in that gap, and i dont recommend the minor arcane class at all (BARD). You need a wizard or a sorcerer. |
| NcT11911-19-04, 09:51 PM | I figure we need a Neutral or Choatic Neutral alined char with some sorc or Wizard lvls someone that the party gets along with just a very chrismatic person (Wizard/Sorc) or anything else Chrisma based. |
| Bringslite11-19-04, 11:36 PM | If you guys aren't going to role play your alignments realistically then why even define them for your characters? I agree that without alignments your party could be great (overlooking the nastier things that some of them do). So if you are all able to play together despite the darker sides of some of your natures then go for it! I agree though: you need an archane friend. |
