Item Suggests [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-31-04, 01:44 PM I'm working on a Chaotic Neutral Rogue who has both the Servant of The Heavens and Disciple Of Darkness feats. She is suppose to be a double-agent playing both sides for her own advantage. What I need is proper items that would help her in her dealings and survival as well as some things to conceal alignments and protect from scrying.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated. :D

07-31-04, 06:06 PM Well, first of all, you'll need DM approval to take feats you don't qualify for.

A ring of mind shielding is a must. It just wouldn't do to have anyone detecting your alignment. Other than that, though...

1. Trick good gods into thinking you aren't CN scum who cares nothing for them.

2. Tell them not to watch you while you "formally supplicate yourself to an archdevil".

3. Enjoy the pitiful fruits of your impossible task.

+1 luck bonus to one roll per day when you're commiting a good act and another when you're committing an evil act. All you have to do is gain access to some kind of ability/item capable of fooling and commanding gods and swear obedience to an archdevil.

Meanwhile, I'll sit over here with my 20,000gp Luck Stone and get the same bonus to all of my ability checks, skill checks, and saving throws without having to obey the rules for being Exalted and an archdevil at the same time.

In case someone missed this from the rest of my post: Trying to deceive and manipulate powers far beyond the scope of mortals is STUPID, especially when something as simple as a level 2 Cleric/Paladin spell(Zone of Truth) can blow the whole thing.

07-31-04, 11:12 PM It's flavor Vaelan, I know I can have better things for cheaper but the charecter isn't as fun. It's always best to have a fun charecter with a rich history that you love to play instead of some power charecter who just chops through ranks like a whirlewind.

08-01-04, 07:26 AM An Amulet of Proof Against Location and Detection - to better avoid being scried by those you are trying to dupe.

Some method to escape to another plane of reality where said dupes cannot find you when they discover you are trying to play them for fools. Double-crossing deities and archdevils is a good way for a short mortal life and a LONG afterlife.
