Hey everyone,

Can someone post an item that gives access to a feat? I dn't care what feat but if it was ANY feat (ie the feat was set when the item was crafted that would be best) but if it's just a metamagic feat or a speicifc feat like iron will that's fine as well. Anything at all would be appreciated, thanks in advance! (SKill tricks, IE trinket of trickery do not work for what I need).

Dark Blue Ioun Stones grant Alertness for 8000gp. You probably need the Magic Item Compendium for more examples, but 2000gp is reasonable for many properly slotted feats. I would probably up the price for feats that have other feats as prerequisites, but don't know off hand what their value would be. Hope that helps.

Remember:

While you can use a magically-granted feat as the base for a feat tree, if the item is lost, stolen, or destroyed you lose access to the feat tree until you either learn the feat on your own or replace the item.

Ferinstance, if you have a pair of gloves which grant Power Attack, you can learn Cleave, Great Cleave, and any feat needing any of those as a prerequisite. However, if you lose the gloves, enter an AMF, or get hit with a Mage's Disjunction you will lose access to Power Attack and any feats based on it.

Just be careful. That's all I'm saying. Opponents can snatch ioun stones from their orbits, y'know...

You want an item which grants the Spell Heriocs.

The Ioun stone grants Alertness for 8 grand, so let's start there.

If an Ioun stone does it for 8 grand, then an item with a body slot should cost 4 grand (say, a ring or belt). So the basic price seems to be 4 grand for a feat.

This should probably apply only to basic feats, though. There is a pair of gloves in the MIC that grants TWF, but I don't have the book in front of me, so I cannot unfortunately quote a price to you. I do know that they have other abilities, though, so the price won't tell the whole story for what we want.

I've never seen an item that granted a feat that had other feats as prerequisites, but a simple formula seems to be (number of feat slots emulated SQUARED) x 4,000 gp. The standard magic item pricing usually goes by the concept that better items increase exponentially. So a slotted item that grants Power Attack could reasonably be expected to cost 4,000, but one that gave Mobility could cost 16,000.

I wish I had my books in front of me; this is all from memory, and I wish I could look up some specific examples to back up the pricing. But it seems reasonable.

And if your DM cries; what feats for a gold cost! remind him/her that its a body slot and at least you won't be getting a headband of intellect +6 to give you even more bonus spells per day.

Alternativly you could just sell your soul to a devil in return for bonus feats

Ring of Evasion. In the DMG, iirc.

Thats a class feature not a feat. I think.
