Just a thought. [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-09-06, 03:31 AM My character is a Half-Orc Barbarian. Holy crap how basic. But wait. he's a lycanthropic wolverine. His mother was a human raped by lycanthropic wolverine orcs, and he was raised by halflings. His personality is crude, rash, belligerant and ruthless, but he'd protect his halfling village and his mother to his last dying breath. He doesn't kill for money, because he hates taking orders, and if you try and tell him what to do you might get a fist in the face, or at least the cold shoulder. He does what he wants, when he wants, but that's generally helping people weaker than him out. He loves to prove his strength and thinks highly of other strong people. He distrusts wizards and sorcerers and hates unnatural things, especially demons, undead and devils. He's okay with celestials, because they're generally benevolent, but still doesn't particularly want to be a room mate with one, if you know what I mean. He'll easily protect a village under seige, no matter the odds, as long as the people there are good. Not neccesarily for the people's sake, but mostly just to show off his strength, and the love for combat, though he hates to see an innocent person die in war. He left his halfling village home and mother to make a name for himself, and hopefully amass a hoard of dragon treasure or something spectacular to give to the kindly halflings for taking care of him, despite his abominable nature. He's not all that great looking (cha 13), but he can win people over either by intimidation or simply because he's not that much of a jerk. His personality is a mixture of kazuma's from s-cry-ed, Wolverine's from X-men and my own.

Based on that description I have given him the Nuetral Good alignment. What would you say?

07-09-06, 03:35 AM Works for me. He seems overall kindhearted which puts him in the 'good' area. He also seems to have a loose sense of honor, which implies lawful, but he's chaotic in a number of other ways, which makes it okay to go neutral.

I may be overlooking something, but it's late here, so I may just be going insane from being tired. The world may never know.

07-09-06, 04:43 AM Chaotic Good. He's got his own code of honor, yes, but it doesn't really seem to coincide with the rules and mores of his surrounding society, so I'd have to say he's more chaotic than not.

07-09-06, 09:10 PM Yeah, I just like to see people's opinions on personality to give an alignment to. I'll probably just stay with good, but I may change it, over time. It's always just kind of fun to see how people view THEIR version of any alignment, evil, or nuetral, lawful or whatever, anything, everyone has their own opinions based on the rules, you know?
