Hey, not sure if anyone remembers, but I posted a couple of months ago here about looking for a group while I'm in Iraq, and while many very helpful folks made some suggestions on how to find one, no one on this forum is over here. I just wanted to drop you guys a line and let you know I finally found some people over in out battalion's S6 (that's the computer geeks for you civilians). I don't know why I didn't think of looking there in the first place. Here's a couple of pictures of what D&D in Iraq looks like:

Left to Right: SPC Carlos, PFC Martinez, SPC Paredes

SPC Leonard

I was the one taking the pictures, so there's not one of me there. All in all it doesn't look too different from games back in the states, other than the conspicuous lack of alcohol. Next time someone lobs mortars at us and we're playing in our vests and kevlars with our weapons out I'll post a pic of that if you guys are interested.

I told them to stop by here and see what they could learn. So if you see anyone posting who's in Iraq, they're probably my players. They're all new to the game, so if you guys have tips don't be shy about sharing them.

Other than that, good gaming to all! Thanks for reading

I guess it doesn't show the pics on the post. Oh well :( Link goes to one of my many picture pages. I'm the idiot with that just pumped the neighbor's cat look on his face in the F16.

Rock on!

Thanks for the pics and update.

Hey, when you're done with it, you can leave one of those books buried in the sand and in about a thousand years it'll be priceless!
