| Vexsom09-23-06, 06:12 PM | This issue extends beyond the bounds of being DM related. This seems to be more of a life issue better taken up with a counselor or a good friend. As a guy to another guy, I suggest you tell the girl about his total lack of responsability and let her do what she wants. Don't let him play if you don't like him. There's a good chance that if you don't like him, others at the table might not as well. These two people are putting to much strain on your actual DMing and if you make this a game issue, it will ruin things for other people. You should sort this out in a way that has nothing to do with D&D, because, it DOESN'T have anything to do with D&D. To him: "No, you can't play with our group. I apologize for my blatent honesty, but you're obviously irresponsible and having you as a player would distract me from properly taking on the roll of Narrator." To her: "Look, you're a really nice person and I don't want to bust your balloon, but as a friend, I need to tell you. You see, Mr. funny-bunny has been down the relationship road a couple times. He has several children whom he will not take responsibility for. He's bad news, but it's up to you." |

So yea, the guy's a loser. So what? You want advise on dealing with losers? Don't. That's pretty straight forward, and I would hope you wouldn't need to come to a gaming board to get basic social advice like that. Talk to those people you need to talk to, communicate your feelings, and be done with it. |
