| Proth07-23-06, 08:55 PM | Our party of 5 9th level characters is constantly having to flee from attacks from Kir-lanan. I suspect my DM is using 3.0 rules in our 3.5 campaign. They seem to have unlimited ability to attack us with Rays of Enfeeblement from their eyes. They do this at night and from a distance, so we cannot easily get to them. I know Ray of Enfeeblement in 3.0 had a Fort save, and does not in 3.5. Does anyone know if Kir-Lanan were changed in 3.5? If not, any suggestions for how to deal with this? 1d6+2 of pretty much automatic strength loss from several beasts at once pretty much takes out our fighters right away. |

Your fighter can lose a hefty 8 points at max, but at least he won't be paralyzed. But, um, otherwise chuck spells at 'em, grab some crossbows with heavily enchanted bolts so they don't take damage penalties from STR, and go to town. G'luck. |

Still, I'm just not sure my DM's running them properly. Like the stacking thing. Also, he said the creatures are onlty CR 2. Hard to believe with what they can do. |

Ray of enfeeblements do not stack, so you will just suffer the effects of the worst one. They aren't really that tough, most annoying is their ability to fly. Just suck it up and deal with them. ;) |
