| the_one_true_shea02-01-06, 11:33 AM | where on this map is wolfia? http://www.geocities.com/leaves_or/worldmap1.txt Were are working in one world here. If you would like to talk optimization or something like it there is the coco (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=483) and there are the optimization boards... you have to look a little harder for those ;) That said.. ]check this out care to make a "monsters by DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev" and contribute to the WCP? edit: wait!!! Creatures of Fienia Demons, Devils. Creatures of Celesia Angels, Archons, Eladrins, Guardinals. Creatures of Deinia Ghosts (Wolfia Creatures.) Wanna make those the first defined "outerplanes" ... we might have to work on "wolfia" though.. Lupenar? Ganrela? Feralia? something just doesnt ring with "wolfia" ... Not like the the dunno fish of "the western shores" :snicker: |
| Rny202-01-06, 07:58 PM | So the planes are arranged into two 'islands?' How are they divided into the two islands, and which planes are the few disconnected isles? More are demanded. perhaps this entire archipelago is Deinia, and fienia and celesia are the two major islands. The wolvians/ lupenari/ ganrelans/ feraliar inhabit the 'water' on the map. Or maybe the pink areas are fienia and the green celesia, leaving blue to the wolvianlupernariganrelansferaliar. |

Should we go ahead and make a "planes" thread? |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev02-11-06, 06:19 PM | I apologize. I just jumped the gun a little. I didn't quite realize that this was all one thing. 1. I suppose that Deinia could be an archipelage within this world. Making Fienia and Celesia moving islands restricted to the archipelago in a similar movement to our sun and moon. While Wolfia is a fixed island. 2. Update: Silver wolves attack characters of either Chaotic or Evil alingment, or both. They do NOT enter civilizations of other creatures. 3. Wolfia is called Wolfia because the main monsters you'll encounter and the first beings created there were the Silver Wolves. 4. Small islands could make up different miny dungeons in this area. |
| the_one_true_shea02-18-06, 10:12 PM | I apologize. I just jumped the gun a little. I didn't quite realize that this was all one thing. oh DaisMiir! You came back! No need to apologize.. trust me half mah job here seems to be pointing people to the forum they were looking for  originally. did you find the champaign workshop? thats were "non-unified" projects go. egoblargo anyway.. Ok, so we have some locational ideas here. Moving Islands? I like it! Very magical. I have no problem with the idea of some outer planes - we dont have any - would that mix better with the basic idea that you had originally? Hmm, Denia is the actual land mass... Fienia, Celesia, and Wolfia (Wolvia.. Wolfhome? Lycanthia.. Louparia.. I just do not like Wolfia.. no offense Wolf Land even! That sounds greenland/icelandic at least... ohh norsish Fenria? ala Fenris?) umm as I was saying. The three areas designated as "demi-planes" could stay just that: Demi-Planes. You have to be in Denia to access them, and traveling to those planes (from the material) is like as if you were sailing out to a island that was never in the same place... of course once you get onto the mobile island you can see the world in the sky and the ranbow rings of the godshell are a darn sight closed then they were from the surface of the world. Fenria :D is the birthplace of the mystical silver wolves, but they have obviously gotten out (perhaps changing their subtype to outsider instead of augmented - if they are naturally occuring creatures in the world then they shouldnt have the augmented tag) and others have obviously found their way there (it may have been an adventure but nonetheless). First real question I have is.. dah dah dah! What kind of people to you see living on Denia? Dryad, Elf, Half-Dragon Familiars, Halfling, Human, Merfolk, Nixie, Nymph, Pixie, and Silver Wolf are the races you list for Wolfia (erm) and I am assuming these carry over to the Larger Denia plane? Are you aware of the Ithawu? or the many other Races we have on the table right now? btw I like that the silver wolfs are beyond animal intelligence but not really in the player character zone (anymore than a troll anyway) - I think they will make great M:tG cards! |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev07-23-06, 05:27 PM | Sorry forr not posting for so long. In Deinia as a whole, mostly fey creatures (Including some from the Faerun and Oriental Adventures sources). They serve as a major group. On the Island of Fienia: Any evil outsiders from the Monster Manual. They treat each other like normal. On the island of Celesia: Any good outsiders from the Monster Manual. They treat each other like normal as well. On Wolfia: Largely populated by wolves. This includes ALL template types that they qualify for. The rest is mostly animals. Some humanoids, but not enough to make much of a dent in the population. Just small tribes. The exception to this rule are humonoids with the aquatic subtype, which rule the oceans. And while I'm at it. There is another Race I'd like to throw down but still have trouble with. Half-Mer are the offspring of a merfolk (Well, DUH!) and land dwelling humanoid. THough I have never been able to get a proper map of them made. They reside in the coves and caves of Wolfia as they have no interest in traveling to Fienia or Celesia. |
| the_one_true_shea07-24-06, 11:35 AM | ...I have never been able to get a proper map of them ... did you say maps? you got maps? show and tell! "half mer" hmm, thinking, check back after a bit... hmmm... |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev07-24-06, 04:41 PM | Well, When I say map, what I mean is general idea of where they are located. I could draw some maps if I got my artists block down. And they have the half-mer race already? |
| the_one_true_shea07-24-06, 11:40 PM | Nono - we don't have half-mer .. BUT! we do have a strong bias towards mer-things... SO! "half mer" would be perfect - I.. simply.. hadnt.. thought of that before.. great idea! I must now contemplate implementation of the "half mer" (rulewise) I have pretty much been refering to the "full mer" as Quoto - or Quto, or Xochu |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev07-25-06, 01:47 AM | Well, due to the GUCK, I can figure out most any crossbreed of creature so long as I have the books. It may take a while, but I'll get you your half-mer. Any particular Race you want to combine one with? Human, Elf, Orc (Ewww!!!) |
| Rny207-25-06, 02:11 AM | Ooh, Ooh! Yuan-ti and Kender! Warforged and Vanara! Chitine and Dromite! Do you do non-humanoid races too? Bebilith Demon and Minotaur! Ultraloth and Hound Archon! |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev07-25-06, 02:32 AM | Yes. I think I can do monster races. O.o Bebilith and Minotaur, huh? I'll get back to you guys when I get all these. It will then be your choice as to whether you want them or not. On a side note, would you like to see a picture I drew today for a Catgirl forum? Pikashoujo (http://msx.freehostia.com/pictures/Pikashoujo.jpg) Maybe we could make this into a player race O.o --- Umm...Could you tell me which books all the creatures are from. I have the Monster Manual 3.5, Races of Faerun, Monsters of Faerun, Psionic Handbook, and Oriental Adventures. Probably somemore, but I'd need you to be more specific of their book. --- And now, the moment you've all been waiting for, I bring you the...Duh duh duh! --- _____________________HALF-MER Half-Mer, 1st-Level Commoner Medium Humanoid (Aquatic) Hit Dice: 1d4 (2 hp) Initiative: ±0 Speed: 15 ft. (3 squares), swim 25 ft. Armor Class: 10, touch 10, flat-footed 10 Base Attack/Grapple: ±0/+1 Attack: Dagger +1 melee (1d4+1) or dagger ±0 ranged (1d4) Full Attack: Dagger +1 melee (1d4+1) or dagger ±0 ranged (1d4) Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft. Its eyes are a deep shade of blue, which very closely matches its hair, and its skin is a pale shade of tan. Half-Mer are the children of Merfolk and land dwelling humanoids, usually human. They retain some of the playfulness of they're merfolk kin, but are always serious about their business. Those encountered on land tend to be rogues, while those encountered in shallow waters are almost always merchants. All know that to take is to give, and never part with something unless something of equal importance is placed with them. Both males and females of this race have little modesty but will still wear various makeshift clothing allowing for comfort and flexibility. Many Half-Mer are relatable to humans when it comes to size, which is to say that they vary widely in size. Their ages are also comparable to humans. Half-Mer speak Common and Aquan Most Half-Mer encountered above land are commoners; the information in the statistics block is for one of 1st level. COMBAT Half-Mer are generally not very good combatents, but if forced however, they will reult to guerilla tactics until they are safely out of distance and back in the oceans depths. Amphibious (Ex): Half-Mer can breath both air and water, although they usually have no wish to leave the various coves they make their home. Skills: A Half-Mer has a +8 racial bonus on any Swim check made to perform some special action or avoid a hazard. It can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered. It can use the run action while swimming, provided it swims in a straight line. HALF-MER SOCIETY Half-Mer live below the waves in secluded areas and come up to shallow pools to trade with surface dwellers. They keep company with anyone who can appreciate their philosophy. Many will be content to stay in the ocean and various small lakes scattered over Wolfia, but a few will take up the life of adventurers. The Half-Mer have no true deity but usually rever Eadro, who created their ocean dwelling ancestors. HALF-MER AS CHARACTERS Half-Mer characters possess the following racial traits. - +2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma. - Medium size. No special bonuses or penalties are gained due to size. - A Half-Mer base land speed is 15 feet. - A Half-Mer has a swim speed equal to 25 feet. - A Half-Mer gains one bonus feat at first level as a human, though they do not recieve the extra skill points of one. - Low-light vision: comparable to other races with this ability. - Automatic Languages: Common, Aquan. Bonus Languages: Any, except for secret languages such as Druidic. - Favored Class: Rogue - Level Adjustment: +1 --- I realize that most of this is just a shameless copy and paste, but if you'll notice, so was the Silver Wolf. The word Half-Mer is both singular and plural. Do forgive any mistakes made, and if there are any, please do work with me to fix them. --- I have an answer to a question made much earlier in this project. http://msx.freehostia.com/pictures/Deinia's%20Location.JPG Copy and paste it. Yayness? I still need to draw the three major islands, the minor outlying islands, and the Atoll Wall. Yes, I want it as Isolated as possible. Maybe a Gnomish airship could get in, that is, if it doesn't blow up during take off. "Warning, this Dwarven Army Knife was made by the outcasted gnomes of such-and-such. It will NOT blow up!" |
| Rny207-25-06, 01:21 PM | let's see: Yuan-ti, Bebilith Demon, Minotaur, Hound Archon: Monster Manual 3.5 Kender: Dragonlance Warforged: Eberron Vanara: Oriental Adventures Chitine: FR Underdark Dromite: Expanded Psionics Handbook 3.5 Ultraloth: Monster Manual III, Manual of the Planes |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev07-26-06, 12:01 AM | Umm... Yes, I see, okay, I found the Chitine in my books, Unfortuantely, I won't be able to do the Kender, Warforged, or Ultraloth. Sorry, I've been hearing beautiful thing about the Ultraloth though to bring my interest to a head. Someone please give me it's stats. |
| Rny207-26-06, 12:32 AM | I think someone redid them on the D&D Monster Forum, I believe they aren't too different from those in MMIII. I'll look for them. EDIT: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=87594, Yugoloth's the first one on the page |
| DaisMiir_Sir_Unilev08-03-06, 01:00 AM | :invasion: Ugh, I can't concentrate on this right now. I hate spammers. My hall of Shame is gonna take up all of my web space at the rate I recieve BS. I'll post your cross-breeds when I get them. I got a new group going and I am so very bored with the whole world right now. I'll be back, maybe a few days, maybe a few weeks, who knows, with the crossbreeds. Just explaining why I won't show up for a while. --- What a spammer wants...:invasion: |
| Garm08-03-06, 11:43 PM | I think if we had a version of the map that was numbered it would be easier to place countries and such. |
| Undernetter08-12-06, 08:31 AM | hey shea when'd we get a map (i've been outta commission for a while) |
| Rny208-12-06, 11:45 AM | Dunno, maybe it was one of the maps on the site Wizo_Shadow put up, but seeing as the site's been taken down or something I can't confirm that. Shea? |
| the_one_true_shea08-29-06, 10:38 PM | Indeed, indeed - its actually one posted originally by Leaves. They both have the same url (cept for one character) they are from some thread - waaaay back like .. before the boards transitioned. (last week!! :smirk: ) Actually back when the major discussion was the boards conversion. I keep thinking to myself - "maps" "maps" we need maps, but ... everytime someone shows up and says "I can make maps.. they don't... very frustrating" Now, I can make maps.. but I am not gonna say theys great maps. I will put to it. Which remindes me. Sir! Wolfia is mobile right? its the floating island like in Dr. Dolittle? |
