Ok im at a creative stump here, I am creating a world for my new campaign, i have all the land masses drawn out all of the cities populated, all of the rulers and evil dictators created but im at a loss for content. does anyone have or know of where i can find some charts that I can either use to get ideas from or use to randomly populate my world with things to do, you know like crypts to play in, towers to burn all that jazz?

Why must the Evil be Dictators, Mastuclies?

Why must we raid crypts, and burn towers?
They sound like something barbarians or petty dragons would do.

Besides, have we any charts on this board yet? Where?

Well Rny2. There were a couple maps drawn up and proposed but (I dont like them) SO :shifty: and they are on that website.. which is cracky.. but yeah..

I think we have yet another wayward poster.. sigh. Do you feel a little like a doorman sometimes?

Nah, just trying to scare them off and steal their ideas for the world. Make it look exclusive, but actually include many people's ideas.

AH! Like salty sea-men sitting down by the docks!

"Sure you are lost there feller! I'll tell you what.. drop a couple penny thoughts in the cup and we'll point your way."

So... :shifty: Speaking of geography. We got what? One continet.. an underdark, a starviel (whatever that is) a rainbow bridge to the heavens (ooh norse!) .. I for one am a big fan of the "single continent" fantasy relms. Dragonlance had one.. added another one.. and promptly stopped talking about it.

I don't think any of the settings other than FR have multiple continents (but thats because its supposed to be earthish... the package came with seven continents). What about the M:tG worlds.. not that we should be making these descisions regarding numbers of continent based on other settings!

Anyway, if the idea for a sorta tri-shell, multilayered world.. (lost world in the middle, then underdark, then surface, then godshell.. dont know where the starviel goes in there) then I think that at least two (and if you do two you might as well do three) large landmasses to play with is a good idea.

One: "Mostly Normal" They can see the godshell, they know of the "underworlds" but otherwise they are pretty baseling.

Two: The crossroads, large opening to the underdark (everyone knows the difference between the underdark and the hollow earth), and the birfrost bridge equivalent is here.

Three: "The velt" if you catch my meaning. FF7
