i am trying to get some ideas for a new campaign... but i suck at coming up with ideas myself. can anyone help me out?

here's what i got so far:

it takes place in a kingdom where people worship dragons as sacred

humans, elves, dwarves, and halflings all live relatively peacefully together in the kingdom

an evil prince kills his father so he can become king, and banishes the witnesses to an icy prison island to the north of the kingdom

the kingdom suffers from constant attacks from the barbarians from the west and evil necromancers and vampires from the south

the evil prince, now the king, hires mighty warriors as "dragon slayers" to kill off all of the sacred creatures.

so, any bright ideas?

Yeah. Post this on the Campaign Workshop board on the D&D boards. Other than that, what are you missing? Just make the encounters, you seem to have the idea of what you're doing.

hmm, i think, with the element types of the elves, dwarves, etc., it's unlikely there be perfect peace. Of course, antagonization from other of the basic types of races could replace the traditional racial enemies. Perhaps this could manifest as racial traits that grant a bonus against the elemental enemies, similar to how dwarves have it.

Also, just how 'sacred' would dragon's be? would this include all the dragons, even the mono-coloured ones, or only the most prismatic, ancient dragons? How do these view the creatures that could, depending on its mana composition, be virulous pests or mythical 'civilizers?'

hmmmm, you still subscribed to this thread dragon fanatic?

If so what do you think of keeping this campaign here? We could work up "the first unnamed adventure module" ??? !!!!
