1. It would be nice not to over-populate any certain area. Each area should have a limit to the number of characters created there. This would mean that waterdeep could be the starting place for many more characters, have more quests, etc...than the town of Bluemoon...a hundred miles away. But of course no limit to the number of characters who can make there way there.
2. Much better A.I. Good luck. The idea of spawning makes me sad. It would be nice to be the only one to kill monster x.
3. Better random encounters. When travelling in mmorp games monsters are randomly placed. I wouldn't mind the long times spent travelling if encounters were better...the game would be more realistic.
4. Only characters who can hear your voice can chat with you.

This isn't the forum to discuss ideas on how to make MMORPGs better. I'm not sure where this might belong to tell you the truth. WotC isn't directly responsible for any MMORPG that I'm aware of.

P.S. If this is a weird April Fool's Joke - you didn't get me, I'm posting this tidbit in the off chance this was a serious post for the World Creation Project (which has nothing to do with MMORPGs).

I know the companies involved in its creation are linked to wizards somehow...cuz wizards owns the rights and whatnot...and I thought this would be the best place to help them out so they make a trully playable game that isnt a redundant repeat(get it?). Anyways...where would I post such a thing???

Thanks for the help.

This place isn't really in existence to help WotC make games and game related products, its a forum for the community to use to create a world together (not an on-line gaming world). I really don't know the best place for you to go, so I'd suggest the D&D General (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=42) forum. It might not be the best place, but the folks who know more about D&D in general will be posting there and they can point you in the right direction (along with the D&D WizOs, who might know something more about where such a topic would belong).

Just a note though, a search of WotC website doesn't have anything jumping out when keying in D&D Online.

Up round future releases (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=386) would be good too.

I also want to say that if someone wants to contribute to the creation process via the mentality of how they would like a MMORPG to be, that could be cool, but not if your just talking about computer technology (AI, Random encounter, bits and bites talk).
However if someone plays.. everquest more than they play D&D or M:tG they could say "on everquest I thought it would be cool if there was a volcano, only it erupted water instead".
Whatever inspires you to be creative, works. But yeah, Brklf is right about Krinthas posting this suggestion in the wrong place.

and umm, Krinthas I think the DDO development team is probably already pretty well taken care of. I doubt they have much time to chat on these boards, but when the game releases Im certain they will love the feedback, from users.

Thanks guys.

I was under the impression that I had no place to post anything under this topic before, and it is nice to know that once again I was right. Anyways...thanks for the re-direct and information. You guys are on top of things here and are doing a great job. Maybe I will return to lend my "ultimate ideas" to a world creation project!

For example...a world where there are no humans at all.

I need to read up some more on the boards to jump in... :D
