I know some of you are thinking something along the lines of "WHAT IS HE THINKING??????? RED IS THE COLOR THAT MAKES REALLLLLLLLLY BIG EXPLOSIONS AND PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!" For these people, I would like to point out that red is also the color of emotions and passions. Enchantment is the school of twiddiling with these. Ex. Temperary insanity, Threaten, Chaos in the ranks, etc.) :u: Blue = illusion and divinitation + all the dispel magics just because the rest of the aburation school doesnt fit that much. No brainer. :b: Black = Necromancy (duh) and Divinatation (Black is all about forbidden knowladge) :w: White = Aburation (white is about the only color that can prevent damage) and Conjuration (White summons lots of weenies and healing is one of the subschools of conjuration) :g: Green = Transmutation (All of green's fun Giant and monsterous growths.) and Conjuration (Green has almost all of the really stong meat shields in mtg) I dont know if these should be the specialist schools and choose one of the opposed colors (green opposed blue and black, white opposed black and red, black opposed white and green, blue opposed green and red, red opposed white and black.) for the forbidden schools. Maybe they would receive a bonus of some kind aganist the color that they forsake, like once a day smite with spell or something. or if these should replace the current schools for the purposes of this world or what really, so just take this and run. |

Then, those players can translate the parts of that world that they like into their favorite game, whether it is M:tG or D&D. In fact there is already an attempt to translate M:tG into D&D, its called the Domaniria D20 Project (or somesuch). I would search it out for you, but searching doesn't work for me for some reason. |
