It is becoming apparent that dragons play a VERY major role in this world, even moreso than in Dragon Lance.

In this world, dragons make the world (shin-la), and they break the world (the kaiser and the blade snakes).

Perhaps a summary of what role the dragons play should be placed here?

Isnt it called "D&D"
...
;)

Just because they play a really big part in one setting doesnt mean they can't play a large role in this one too. There wasn't as much variation, or a connection to the magic colors, in dragon lance. The dragons of color proposal is intricate, but it doesnt mean the dragons have to play a huge roll in the world. It just reinforces the consistancy between the two systems.

The second D is the very reason Dragon Lance was created. The original creators saw lots of dungeon crawling in the Greyhawk setting, but not enough dragons. Thus, he incorporated dragons very strongly into the Dragonlance setting.

Exactly right Book5!
you only post here when you get in a hurry and accidently click the wcp link on the top of the list, dont you.

This is not intended to be "a world" of dragons, but I like the connections between mana color and dragon type. Yes, it is similar to dragon lance in the regard that there are red and blue dragons, but our red and blue dragons would not be the .. well the blue ones would be different anyway.

And the "dull red" would be :r: dragons. Just drakes by normal dragonlance or etc standards, but tied into the cosmogony exactly as much as the dragonlance dragons.. if not a slight bit more as far as Shin-La is concerned. Shin-La and the Kaiser are at this point "responcible" for the riz-ira .. we could whip it up a good age name! eh? The dragon heretics? something like this, where was I?

Really though Shin-La is just a Dragon Legend and so would the elder and last Kaiser. I made the Hyburn slightly less impactful I would think (to the cosmogony) but more akin the silvers dragons of silvinos (erm nesti >sp) and the elven tribes therin.

I could have easily gone with Mana Dungeons.. but.. well hmmmm... HUH! There was no riz-ira confusion when I came up with dragons of color. I will am not particularly attached (though I do like it) to my dragon's of color idea, per se. If you feel that we should go another direction with it, or have another vision of how Kaiser should fit in, well yeah lets talk about colorless.

Perticular to the topic of dragons of color and the kaiser's analysis therin

If you don't like it lets make another one. Not using dragons of color doesnt kill Shin-La or the Kaiser. Their stories are only associated with the color scheme because I think its an easy way to classify the color cost of the card. A way to say "how much does it cost to summon Kaiser Dragons?" Same way the elemental elves thread works.

Five major tribes of elves, each with diviersity amongst them. Not pyramiding to a unique cap stone (I think every world's heart dragon should be born different, be easy to say they are real rare! ;) anyway! The five elemental elven tribes hold alot of words from several people and I like em too SO I sorta thought of a way to connect the underpinning of an "elder mana flow" to the classics of D&D. Elves and Dragons are both "Mana" creatures.

Elves are common in M:tG but almost exactly as common as cephalids! Well maybe more, but goblins and myr and shadowfolk oh my! There are A-whole-Lot full of races running around in the M:tG! I want to give the elves and dragons that "embeded" place in the M:tG/D20 crossmingling.. conceptually. The green elves of M:tG fame are from somewhere .. can't remember the name.. oy! Dominaria! I just said said it, silly me :looloo: Those elves would only be seen on this world durring the M:tG periods. Otherwise the elves are an immortal legacy of the ancient divine beings! Like the dragons.

So it stands now, Elves are "dragonkin" in that they are both tied to the elder mana flows stronger than the huminoids like the Iwathu and the Quoto. The Gnome and the Dwarf.. (do we need dwarfs? really? We have two types of rock people... "dwarvy") There was also a suggestion to make the Gnomes the oldest of the intelligent races! Predating even the elven civilization! Synthisysing that with Dragons and Elves of Color theories would put the Gnomes as the First Mortal race. Dragons and Elves, though older in nature, were still young in mind and civilization. Gnomes created civilization and gave it to these strange god-like mana infused beings.

The dragons used it to war, the elves used it to hide in their elvish ways. The Gnomes got sort of cought up and destroyed the most of themselves leaving way for the silver age of civilization to start with the Merfolk's development of sea travel. They began the current that created the mortal empire of Merecyn (sp) and that leads to the world hearts dragon shin-la!

Meanwhile we still have alot of room for other areas, lots of stuff is going on underground, and lots of theoretical diety interactions going on! I think by analysis that me and Brklf's ETR/LAR + Gods analysis gives the most potential impact to the gods. The Dieties live on the level of the Planeswalker... honestly I have thought.. well maybe this is silly..

What if instead of "portfolios" for Gods... we made WCP decks? Very consensual ;) We can even just start on the lists of names for the cards and then fill em in later (change etc)?

Well, thats my two bits, for now
