I need help creating a story about seven cities story I'm thinking about making. I could have creatures like magic does, maybe it won't. It takes place in a desert like area, like the middle east.
Each city is like a level of order, the seventh one being the main. since there is seven levels of the realm, there is seven cities. This is how far I got when I came up with it today, so I needs a plot.:)

Did you say desert? Maybe the cities could interact with the Virix race. :D:D:D

Clash ... this is a board where we are creating our own world; we have created some races here, one being the Virix. If you look through the threads, you'll find more information about them (Lizard Men of the Desert). You might want to check out the sticky threads at the top to see what The World Creation Project is all about. Galen was subtly suggesting you could place the Seven Cities on the world and maybe use the Virix (since they are a desert dwelling race).

I just remebered about this post, so I whipped this outfto get and idea about things. Oh and yes, I would like the race in my story.

The winds of the desert whipped the robes of the prince, from across his face, down to his feet. This will be the fith exauhsting day on his lonsome trip to Abban. His body ached with pain and fatigue, and the fasting did not help. His mind swam from the heat of what could seem to dry the Agriam Sea.
Images of mirages taugnted him;showing him hazy images of oasises, of his family, and of his forgotten life. The golden sands stung his face, enough to chisel it slowly away; tinted goggles keept the sand out of his eyes, and the sun for that matter.
When he was cast into exile, his head had been shaved, his face shaved, and almost all of his body hair had been too. His possesions confenscated, including his clothes. Even his name had been taken, and he was a ruler no more. He was given two cantiens of water, one for drinking, and the other strictly for praying with. Both were now empty, he hadn't prayed since he was imprisoned, that was two years ago. He felt he had been abandoned, just the same as everyone else.
The sun was setting low on the westren front, he closed his eyes, and collapsed to his knees. The coarse sand dug into his raw skin, peircing it like a needle does unto skin, a cry of pain resonated throughout the dusk ridden sky. His eyes rolled back into his head; the world he knew went dark.

What do you think?

Hmm, seven cities. Didn't get much of an explanation on these, but "The Seven Cities" does have a ring to it.
