Now I have seen many of the threads that show races and cultures and many other things. What I propose is that we try to select X amount of races and X amount of nations and so on so forth. By doing this we would be able to create this world much more effectivly if we all had tasks, or at least the tasks were there.
I'm not saying that there hasn't been some good ideas come from this thread (because there has), but that if we got together as a group and created and assigned these tasks this board would begin to become much more effective.
Also these could be only guidelines, and when they have been completed any other ideas would be thrown in, to give us the final product.
If this is not a good idea, then just a suggestion, but I think that we should orginize this thread in some way so that the visitors to this thread would be able to quickly and easily access information on this forum. My idea for this is to have several "Main Threads" started by people so that all the ideas for one thing could go into that thread and be easily accessed. (EX: A thread titled Races, would hold all the Races created on this board.) And to prevent the thread from sliding under if one of the WizO's would create them like the "Read This:..." threads.

Just my thoughts...

unfortunately the wizos are, it seems, quite busy.
you have touched on the subject that is thrown around every so often.
And i will say it is a good idea. We do need somone (a wizo, hint hint) to
organise the board.

I'm still thinking about the set limit for races.
At the moment, by my count we have between 18 and 25 races,
some are sub species, like the elemental elves.
we have quite a few reptillian races, elves, underdark races just to name
a few. One of two dwarves have been hinted at, and gnomes.

Though, funilly enough, we are lacking in humans...

There are, what... seven core playable races in the core rule book.
human, dwarf, elf, gnome, halfling, half orc, and half elf.
not including subtypes.

We dont necessarily need to hand humans, or orcs.
But it seems a little outof place with out us.

that being said, we could limit the number of races to ten... we could limit all the sort of thing, and then update it every so often, providing more races and prestige classes etc.

I think though we shouldnt stop ppl from posting ideas for races etc or kingdoms. But we do need somone... a wizo maybe, or a volunteer with enought power to create voting polls, and make 'executive' decisions so to speak.

I believe that the ppl who founded the board didnt want a despot,
but if we want this to actually 'finish' so to speak, somone needs to say stop.
(though i dont think this will ever finish, when one finishes another will most likely start. there will always be another generation of the world creation project)

Most race ideas go on the Races thread in the D&D section.

No one seemed to care for my humans. Oh well

What humans are you talking about, Garm? Could you post me a link to your humans? Has anyone even laid out the general look of the world? I mean, has anyone drawn a world map of the combined world and posted it anywhere? That might help people to organize and focus their thoughts on the matter. Just some thoughts... ;)
