#1 Duskweaver Feb 27, 2012 1:31:33	OK, there's a new forum bug. Forum and thread titles are not showing up in the browser title bar any more. Instead, I'm seeing the 'string' command (e.g. "$forum_title1"). I'm using Firefox 10.0.2, but IE 8.0 experiences the same bug (exept it's "%s" instead of "$forum_title1") EDIT: It's actually the same in IE; "%s" is just what shows up on the main index page. Anyone else getting this?

#4 Dragonette Feb 27, 2012 10:11:38	Hey guys, I just noticed that too when I opened the Community Business forum, so I filed a report via the help site about it. You may want to do the same. Click  HERE and log in same as you would log into our forums, then choose the "Email Us" tab, select "Wizarsd.com Website" from the pull down, then "report a bug" and from there  and fill out the rest of the form. I linked to this thread in my report also. Monica
#5 Seeker95 Feb 27, 2012 11:52:59	I am using Firefox 10.0.2 on XP and am NOT getting this problem. Tab titles, Browser bar titles, and thread titles are working just fine for me.

#7 Seeker95 Feb 27, 2012 16:35:34	Three of us with Firefox 10.0.2 and different results (two see the bugs, one does not). That is weird.
#8 Duskweaver Feb 28, 2012 1:18:46	Yeah, the bug is still happening for me. I filed a report yesterday; this thread was just to see if other people were having the same problem and whether it affects all browsers or just my version of Firefox. FWIW (and it may be a coincidence), I first noticed the problem when I logged on for the first time after installing a whole bunch of Windows updates...
#9 Neutronium_Dragon Feb 28, 2012 1:40:19	I'm not only seeing three variants, but the order in which things appear switches around as I navigate down from the Dungeons and Dragons forums index, into Community Business, then into this thread to read it, and then into the Post Reply mode to write this. At each of those stages, the window header is, respectively... The Wizards Community > Forum Category - %s - Mozilla Firefox The Wizards Community > Forum - $forum_title1 - Mozilla Firefox "$forum_title1" > Community Business > The Wizards Community - Mozilla Firefox The Wizards Community > Post Reply - $thread_title1 - Mozilla Firefox -- The third one, which is the window header while I'm reading the thread, is the only one not generating an undefined string ("$forum_title1" is the actual title of the thread) but it's listing things in the opposite order. It also seems to be the only one to use the > separator twice; the others use a > followed by a - Could the rest of you double check to see whether this is also what's happening for you? It would explain why people are reporting different errors or none at all.

#12 Duskweaver Feb 28, 2012 14:42:43	Just a thought: what theme is everyone using? I'm using the 'Wizards New Default' one. If Seeker95 is using a different theme and not seeing this problem, it's possible the bug is restricted to certain themes. Also, the reply I got from CS implies they aren't seeing this problem at their end. I'm going to go see if the bug still appears with different themes... EDIT: Never mind. The bug occurs regardless of theme.

#15 draco1119 Feb 29, 2012 18:13:45	I've had it happen on three different computers, with 2 different browsers. Work: Firefox (unkown edition) Home: Firefox 9 Library: Internet Explorer So... yeah.  It's a problem on your end, WotC.  Not ours.
