| #1booste_starlancerSep 09, 2009 23:32:16 | I've been giving time for these forums to be fixed, despite the fact that they should have been completely designed and all the bugs worked out BEFORE the changeover. For the first few days it looked like the designers were adjusting to complaints and fixing a few things here and there. But now it looks like all work has stopped. These forums are still in horrible shape, do I need to give up on them? Is this what they're going to be like from here on out? |
| #2kratchSep 10, 2009 0:08:34 | Well, given that "BETA" is still up at the top and they're still making changes as of this afternoon (they changed the background to a much darker grey), I'd have to say no, your just succumbing to the fear-mongering going around. |
| #3HerrozerroSep 10, 2009 2:44:12 | Beta |
| #4booste_starlancerSep 10, 2009 3:59:20 | Hm, didn't notice the change on the background. Still don't notice, so I guess I don't pay attention to that type of thing. I'm thinking more along the lines of usablility. I think fixing subscriptions should take priority over tweaking the color. |

| #7martinlongbowSep 10, 2009 11:11:15 | worst forum ever but just the thing you would expect from wizards. at least fix the links. it is unbelievable to see a company that lazy living on your design team. |
| #8jhonesySep 10, 2009 11:12:04 | Nah, these forums aren't a done deal. They're still working on it, hence the BETA in the corner. Still, all in all, pretty lame to release a half-baked product and expect people to be happy about it. They could at least get the formatting fixed, and dull the backgrounds. I miss my ol' parchment beige background enough to bring tears to my eyes. Or that could just be from staring at all the white. :P |
| #9lokiareSep 10, 2009 13:10:16 | From the look of things they took the grey back out. I'm sorry, but I haven't seen any changes made by WotC since they removed the side post advertisement. I don't really expect to see any changes. From my past experiences they will just go 'in another direction' and do something else. Maybe start some kind of call in service where you can chat with other gamers. Sorry, that was sarcasm. I really dont see them doing much as this is a free service provided so they can take our Ideas (Read EULA/ToU). I don't even think the decision makers read the forums. |

Grey background for posts is still showing up on my screen. What theme are you using? (I am using the D&D theme) |

Last I heard they were working on porting over the PM's (and a few other things). They have also fixed things like some threads got corrupted during the initial port over but are fixed now and a problem with login at onesite. They've fixed a few more problems, though they took down the "Known Issues" thread that contained that list. As you suggest, a lot of what they're working on is likely behind the scene stuff that the hate-mongers choose not to see and that take time (it's only been a few weeks), rather then the minor cosmetic issues that, while noticable, really don't do a lot. As to the grey behind the forum text, I still see it and I'm using the D&D theme. |
| #13johnthedm7000Sep 10, 2009 20:47:21 | So I hate to sound impatient, but what sort of timeline is there for finishing up the transition and restoring full functionality (stuff like being able to [sblock=] things for readability)? |

That's just weird. I've done everything but purge my browser cache. |
