| #1dulsiFeb 16, 2012 9:21:51 | Is it possible to make blogs available even when a person is banned? It's a shame that wrecan's great blogs are unavailable while he is banned for whatever reason. |
| #2DragonetteFeb 16, 2012 9:58:46 | Hi Dulsi, I'm sorry but the software doesn't allow that at this time. However, I've shown your request to management and they'll take it into consideration, though I can't really promise anything because it's primarily a limitation of the software. Monica |
| #3wrecanFeb 16, 2012 12:30:07 | It was only a 24 hour ban, but it looks like all of my blogs are gone. Are they really permanently gone and deleted? I lost the originals when my computer crashed last month and I was going to try to download them again when I had the time. Can they be restored or is all that work gone forever? |

I still haven't gotten to reading the dungeontech blogs. I suppose I could try google cache. This is the first in a series of articles about introducing fantastical technology into your Dungeons & Dragons game. Gamma World (a setting and game that I adore) has already done much of the groundwork for me by making the game compatible with 4e. Mostly, these articles will discuss the concept of technology in D&D, some guidance to DMs to introduce advanced technology in their games, and options for players in a Dungeontech campaign. |
| #5zombie_babiesFeb 16, 2012 13:21:05 | I know some people have permanently lost loaded photos from bans so I imagine it's possible that your blogs are gone. Hopefully that's not the case, but with this software ... |
| #6wrecanFeb 16, 2012 17:19:14 | I know some people have permanently lost loaded photos from bans so I imagine it's possible that your blogs are gone. Hopefully that's not the case, but with this software ... My galleries seem to be gone as well. Which is weird because that's where my avatar links from. Which means, I imagine, the photos are still on the system somewhere. Which means the blogs should be there too... I hope... |
| #7LordArchaonFeb 16, 2012 20:44:53 | Oh no... Please, do ask the hell out of customer support for this... It would be a loss that THEY wouldn't really be able to bear, and I'm talking WotC. This would be sad as hell. |
| #8wrecanFeb 17, 2012 7:54:08 | I don't know if this helps, but when I go to my profile and click "Manage blogs", it still lists all of my blogs, but it lists the as "suspended", which seems to me to mean that when my account was reactivated, they didn't "unsuspend" my blogs and galleries. That indicates to me that the blogs can be saved. I can click on edit and see all the blogs. So at least I can download them is some sort of format. But it also seems to mean I cannot create new blogs. So someone needs to fix my account, because it seems like my 24-hour suspension has been elongated into a no-blog-or-photo suspension. |
| #9wrecanFeb 17, 2012 8:03:36 | More updates. I can apparently post new blogs. I just can't make my old ones visible. |
| #10wrecanFeb 17, 2012 8:05:06 | More updates again. If I go to Manage posts and hit "edit" and "submit", it apparently resurrects my posts. So now I have to manually cast raise dead on each of my blog articles. After this I'll go and work on my photos. |

From this and your other post, I'm of the same mind as you. Seems part of your account is still under suspension for some reason. Should be fixable. |

It doesn't result in XP loss for the (formerly) dead. Just sayin'. |
| #13wrecanFeb 17, 2012 9:05:04 | The blogs are back! Now it's off to look into my photos and videos. |
| #14wrecanFeb 17, 2012 9:07:02 | Okay. I can't see my photos or videos or manage them. I know they're there because all my blogs link to those photos and videos. Looks someone in CS has to go in and de-suspend that aspect of my account. |
| #15LordArchaonFeb 17, 2012 11:28:47 | I'm very relieved!! |
| #16WebsterFeb 17, 2012 18:07:16 | A good reminder to everyone to save their content they want saved on their own computers. ;) |
| #17DragonetteFeb 18, 2012 10:10:02 | Hey Wrecan, I'm sorry there was a glitch with your blogs and photos when you were unsuspended. I'm going to let people know about the delay in getting your blogs back, as well as your continuing issue with your photos. As far as I understand it, accounts are either suspended or not suspended, there shouldn't be a different suspension for your blogs and your photos or anything like that. Individual items may be missing if those items where in violation of the Code of Conduct, but that's not what it sounds like you're dealing with. Monica |
| #18draco1119Feb 18, 2012 12:58:46 | Hey Wrecan, I believe this was said earlier in the thread, but just in case it wasn't: There was also an issue with another poster whose pics were found to have been deleted when his suspension ended (within the last weekto ten days). Since they were pictures of shoes, I doubt they violated the CoC. Just letting you know that, while it may be mythic rare, it's not a completely isolated occurence. |
| #19wrecanFeb 27, 2012 22:42:01 | By the way, I just oticed that not only are my personal photos and videos inaccesible, but any photos and videos I uploaded to groups -- even groups I don't own or moderate -- have been made inaccessible. I know they're there somewhere because they can be seen when linked to, but not directly from the galleries. And it's been more than a week. |
| #20homicidal_squirrelFeb 28, 2012 20:24:58 | All my picures are gone... again. This is seriously ridiculous. I let customer service know about this the last time I was temp-banned. And once again, I have lostall my pictures. This has been going on for quite some time. Is there any possibility that the pictures can be restored? |
| #21wrecanMar 03, 2012 10:32:05 | When I logged onto the Customer Service site to see if there was any progress on the problem that I still cannot access the videos and photos on my profile's gallery, ro the galleries of the groups to which I had uploaded photos, I saw that the problem had been listed as "resolved" even though it was not resolved and nobody from Customer Service ever contacted me about this. The reference number is 10216-000553. |
| #22calronmoonflowerMar 03, 2012 14:00:09 | They might have meant they passed it along to be fixed. I would suggest updating your question as well, if you have not done so already. It also raises the question of whether they have a "pending" option. |
| #23DragonetteMar 03, 2012 18:22:59 | When I logged onto the Customer Service site to see if there was any progress on the problem that I still cannot access the videos and photos on my profile's gallery, ro the galleries of the groups to which I had uploaded photos, I saw that the problem had been listed as "resolved" even though it was not resolved and nobody from Customer Service ever contacted me about this. Hey Wrecan, Can you double check that number? I'm not finding it in the database. Even something that's solved out would be available, so I think you may be missing some numbers. The first set should be 6 numbers, for example. Monica |
| #24wrecanMar 04, 2012 10:45:48 | Sorry. The number is 120216-000553. Now it says "Updated by Consumer" because I clicke don it and told CS it hasn't been resolved. |
| #25DragonetteMar 04, 2012 20:45:20 | Hey Wrecan, I took a quick look at your incident. It's in the correct hands, I can't tell you when you'll get a reply, but the issue is being looked into. Monica |
| #26wrecanMar 04, 2012 21:36:38 | Thank you! |
| #27homicidal_squirrelMar 06, 2012 16:43:48 | Hey Wrecan, Any chane I'll get my pictures back? |
| #28DragonetteMar 07, 2012 10:26:07 | Hey Wrecan, Sorry homicidal_squirrel, I wouldn't have any information about that. However, if you've filed a bug report via the help site I'm sure it's being looked into. In case you need that link again: wizards.custhelp.com/ Hope that helps! Monica |
| #29WotC_TrevorMar 13, 2012 10:39:56 | It appears they have a fix in for this now, but it may require some fiddling with your account. If you're having the missing blogs/pics/videos issue, contact customer service and reference this thread and we'll try to get everything sorted out. |
| #30wrecanMar 13, 2012 16:48:14 | Hooray! It worked. All my photos and videos are restored! |
| #31LordArchaonMar 13, 2012 17:24:56 | Great to know! |
