since I have no idea where else to post this, I've got a feature request for the boards.

(1) color coded deck-blocks

Since 4th edition, powers and such are written in a block, with the title in a color bar; and many people on this forum use the deck-tags to emulate this

Note that the background of the deck tag box is actually composed of images that change depending on the skin you're using, not flat colors--it'd need a significant overhaul to allow it to work the way you want.

Not that it's a bad idea; I like the idea, actually. I'm just saying it'd take more work than you seem to think it might.

I don't think so. Though my html edditing /scripting if very old (its about 5 years ago), the sites seem to be made with stylesheets

the current scripts generate this (bolded important parts):
.tcat<br /> {<br /> background: #869BBF url(images/gradients/dnd/leather.gif) repeat-x top left;<br /> color: #FFFFFF;<br /> font: bold 10pt verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif;<br /> }<br /> <br /> <table width="75%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border:1px solid #000000" border="0"><br /> <tr><td style="padding:5px; font-size:20px">my super power</td></tr><br /> <tr><td><br /> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" width="100%" style="margin:5px"><br /> <tr><td>instantly kill all enemies</td></tr><br /> </table></td></tr><br /> </table>

I agree, it's an awesome idea, but if it's going to need some hacking, past experience has shown the less we tinker with the code, the happier the software is.

there is an ancient saying in the computer bussiness: "if it isn't broken, that means that it doesn't have enough features yet" :D

But I indeed understand ... I don't want to be the guy responsible for the suggestion that killed this forum.

hmmm ... *thinking*

another simple solution, without breaking deck: since we only have 4 colors (red, black, green, brown); create 4 new tags that basically are copy/pastes of the deck-tag, but with different wallpaper

instead of
switch(tag)<br /> ...<br /> case "deck": // add code to create a table with background images/gradients/dnd/leather.gif<br /> ...
