#1 Webster Oct 31, 2008 3:08:34	Hey guys and gals! A long while ago, I'd post the "Theme of the month", and folks would go out to the boards and use the theme in their posts. For example, if the them is "cold", then people would make a cold based prestige class, on the monster board someone would make a cold based monster and so on. Would you guys like me to start up the theme idea again? Did you have any ideas for themes?
#2 lord_karsus Oct 31, 2008 10:27:47	-Meh, personally, I think that's a bit silly- unless, of course, there's some kind of "official" program along with the theme. You know, something like, "This month's theme is 'Red'. Make a Monster/Class/Item/Whatever involving 'Red', and you can win a prize." In that capacity, it sounds good. Arbitrarily, though, nah, not really. I'd see no incentive for anyone to "join in".
#3 Mr_Miscellany Nov 02, 2008 20:29:45	Would you guys like me to start up the theme idea again? Did you have any ideas for themes? I'm sure it would drive the more serious people batty, but I think it would be fun to try and rhyme at least one sentence per thread. You could also make partial themes....sort of like asking people to include one or two line flavor text or story descriptions with whatever they are talking about (whether a new class, ability, to illustrate a point about the rules, etc...). But these themes wouldn’t carry over to non-game discussion (like what goes on in this forum). Anything that helps to get a DM or player’s creative juices going is good with me. Or you could ask people to try and post at least once per day without using the letter “E”. ;)
