#1 arannis_alielgalad May 25, 2011 11:20:11	I'm graduating college, with a BA in English, and am moving to Seattle for the first time. My wife and I are nervous about the trip (we're both from northern Illinois) and are anxiously awaiting replies from prospective employers. I have applied to several of the Seattle area job openings for Wizards of the Coast, as my biggest dream is to one day work on D&D... Anyway, here is my question: As a fresh-faced college grad with no gaming industry experience, how hard is it to break into? Let us say I get an entry-level job, what is the upward mobility like? Is it an exclusive group, as an industry generalization? Do any Wizards employees want to relate any experiences or give advice? Thanks for the help!
#2 Seeker95 May 25, 2011 20:38:52	Anecdotally, I have read that just about every WotC-employed person who works on the game side of things started as a freelancer writing for Dragon or Dungeon or working for another gaming company. So find a different job (as in, somewhere other than WotC) first, and write for every possible gaming outlet in your free time.
