May 20, 2008 16:07:26 Hello all! I was wondering what you all's opinions on the new "Character Building" forums are.

I personally do not like that that forum, once the Magic, Races, and Classes and refuse from forums, is so very cluttered. I think that Races, Classes, and Feats/Skills should all be their own forums, that, or "D&D Character Building" should be its own set of subforums, and each subset of the Character Building be its own forum within there.

-Races
-Classes
-Equipment and Treasure
-Powers and Rituals
-Skills and Feats
-Rules Q&A
-Character Optimization
-Character Conception
-General

Character Conception: If we got a rule based, min-max Character Optimization. We should have a roleplaying based, character concept/fluff development forum.

During discussions of the re-org, it was there. It was likely an oversight. Good luck getting it fixed, though.

Good catch. There should be a Character Development forum beneath Character Optimization. Character Development is more along the lines of character fiction, back story, and roleplaying elements, like you suggest.

I'll check with WotC_Michelle tomorrow to find out what happened.

Are you saying that merging the forums into Character Building was an accident, or are you saying that there was supposed to be a Character Conception forum?

May 22, 2008 13:37:10 For now keep posting, even if it means going through extra work to find the threads you want to post in. The more active that forum is, the better the case becomes for splitting it up.
