At NYcomicCon Wizards had a sizable booth. This was in April though and they were trying to PR 4th. They had an entire section for people to play DDXP dungeon crawl. I played in a crawl run by Chris Perkins on the Friday of con. San Diego is the Mecca for comics so I bet they will be there. |

| #4mariocleanstuffJul 22, 2008 11:36:56 | I, too, am interested in this. They've had a Comic-Con booth for several years now. It's how I got into the game. I'm concerned, because there is no mention of the San Diego Comic-Con in their convention schedule or their convention league schedule. |
| #5epochgamesJul 22, 2008 12:09:06 | Without any notice that they'll be there, it's doubtful they will. That and their current marketing ploys have come to fruition, I doubt they have much to pander this time around. |

You're probably right, though I think it would be silly for them NOT to go to San Diego Con. I went to NY CON (the same venue only in NYC) and it was huge. San Diego is the GENCON equivalent for comics and I think it bad business for WOTC not to attend. Their marketing has come to fruition, but COMICCON generates interest for NOOBS, and exposes them to new things. |
| #7mariocleanstuffJul 22, 2008 13:00:12 | A quick look at the exhibitors list for the convention has shown that Wizards of the Coast is not among them, but that Hasbro is. What's up with that? EDIT: Ah. They seem to be sharing a large booth, as follows. Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast 3213 |
| #8epochgamesJul 22, 2008 17:00:55 | It'll be interesting to see what they have their. A lack to deliver on promises thus far has got to make people nervous about manning that booth...I can feel the heat from the pitchtorches and the string from the forks now. The Hasbro section will be busy as always, though, as they handle GI Joe and always make some big announcements there, and with their new movie coming out..... |

I was hoping to glean some insight on their reasoning behind some things... though in a much more cordial and mild-mannered fashion than "pitchtorches" would imply... |

| #11mariocleanstuffJul 23, 2008 16:07:28 | Hmm... It seems Wizards has dropped from the Hasbro slot of the exhibitors listing. I'll be attending Preview Night tonight, so I should be able to find out what's really going on. I have heard that some Organized Play folks are being sent down for the DDM convention league, though, so I remain hopeful. |
| #12mariocleanstuffJul 23, 2008 23:45:19 | Okay... There is zero WotC representation at the Hasbro booth. The people staffing the booth say that WotC is not going to be there this year. Color me disappointed. |

I can't figure that one out... They were at the SMALLER NEW YORK comic con to promote, but they will not go to the bigger GEEK mecca to propagate the game? Seems like a loss on their part not on yours. Anyway, trust me... there was nothing great at the NYC ComicCon booth, It was like a small Wizards store. The best thing was the D/D brand manager and Chris PErkins were there. Other than that the WOTC booth was nothing to gawk at. HAve fun at con, there is going to be TOO MUCH for you to do to worry about WOTC. |
| #14gadrenJul 24, 2008 1:03:56 | HAve fun at con, there is going to be TOO MUCH for you to do to worry about WOTC. I know. But still, that really seems so incredibly stupid. I'm trying to decide if I should email Wyatt or Slaversick directly. I still can't determine if we are supposed to know the email of WotC employees outside of what is posted on the website. (But I mean, if they didn't want us to, you'd think they'd be smarter than to make every email have the exact same format, no?) I'm not looking to cause trouble, but I really want to talk to someone with some answers (which customer service does not have, I have discovered ) |
| #15mariocleanstuffJul 24, 2008 16:08:14 | Okay... WotC is not going to be here in any capacity (other than RPGA). Here's hoping next year proves better. |
