Completely random observation:

Much as a rust monster cannot resist touching your greatsword and a blink dog cannot resist sniffing another blink dog's butt, a lurking asshat cannot resist commenting that a delayed article must somehow be a sign of WotC incompetence.

Here's my problem. I obviously missed whatever it is Seeker is so annoyed about. So, to me, this thread's OP just looks like Seeker decided to insult another (as yet unknown) forumgoer for no particularly good reason.

Look, I know the relentless negativity of some forumgoers can be wearing, but their posts are not the only thing that contributes to the bad atmosphere here. There are several long-time forumgoers here for whom I used to have great admiration, but who (presumably with the noble intention of standing firm against the aforementioned relentless negativity) have recently started posting unnecessarily aggressive (or passive-aggressive), snide/snarky, and often personally insulting posts.

As someone who is more-or-less neutral on the merits of Essentials, the quality of recent DDi content, the competency of the current designers, the trustworthiness of WotC's public statements, etc., etc., what I really wish is that people here could merely disagree on these topics, rather than becoming so damned disagreeable about them.

Caveats like this are rarely sincere.  See "I don't mean to offend you" or "Don't take this personal."

What is insincere about it?

It was an observation, rather than a casual fleeting thought.
It was random in that it is not following any specific thread.
