#1 splinters Jul 25, 2008 3:38:37	Hello everyone, I'm here with a complaint. We all know the these forums are horribly organized, but the character building forums are just plain beginning to kill me. All this discussion over what character class is more l33t and what is the most optimal character belong is in. E-gasp! The character optimization board!(I do love you, but you need to stay in your box) The roles, they're nice, and fun, and they're really shiny. And, discussing roles is great... but why do we have 4 separate boards devoted to roles? Seriously, clean this mess up WoTC, it's annoying. I suggest: General Races Class Roles Monsters Treasure Character Optimization(Practical) Character Optimization(Theoretical) Character Development +Others But seriously "Character Building: Hybrid"?! That's just a cop out, organize the forum already! ****! P.S. Put General at the top like all other sensible forums do! /rant
#2 deadkoo Jul 25, 2008 17:32:22	... Why don't we let them fix the major issues with the forums first? Like have it so that the forums aren't down for 2-3 hours a day(a good few days more than that) before we nit-pick? Yes it is a good idea, and I suggest you save it, because it would help a lot. But adding more forums is probably only going to exacerbate the problem with forum integrety(sp?). Cheers
#3 splinters Jul 25, 2008 17:36:49	That problem is tied to gleemax, unless they ditch gleemax they can't fix that problem.(They're not gonna ditch gleemax) This problem is something they can actually fix. Take down all the characters building and put up sections we really need.

Gamer_zer0 asked them what they thought and didn't much bother to ask the community itself, so they were just forced onto people. I do find it funny how they seem to be about 5 CO boards and a half-way attempt at a place to discuss races in the hybrid section.

#8 hellmute Jul 26, 2008 15:52:49	Here is a thought: Class Race Party Since the main focus is supposed to be on party tactics then there should be a place to discuss the entire party makeup for people that make the whole party. I doubt any one player ever does, but that is the emphasis with this edition that the party must much more be fit into a pattern to get the end results. So give people a place to discuss "party builds". Co still exists for those bits, classes get less bogged down as rules q's end up in Q&A. Then races HAVE a place, and the rest of the class discussion goes into its little forum. What are the real topic in each of the "role" forums really about as it is?

#13 fippy_darkpaw Jul 28, 2008 21:31:15	The Character Building forums are nicely organized imho. Leave them as is. If you put all character building in a single forum it would be waaay to spammy. I agree, the purpose of "Character Building: Hybrid" is unclear though.
