Okay so the free basic pdf is great, it's nice and polished but simple and I love it. There's just one problem, we have all the rules to play the game but not a single monster. Are we going back to the 3.x days of giving the players everything and ignroing the DM? See cuz I can write monsters, if I had some idea of what they're supposed to look like, even if we only got like 2 iconic monsters of each CR I'd at least have some idea of what they should look like. But I don't. I have the playtest monsters but I don't even know how valid those are any more. Can we please get a basic monster manual with some iconic monsters so we can play the game before October? This is why I was dubious about the staggered release, it's like having only 1 kind of lego block and expecting to build a cool castle, it just isn't going to work out until I get the other lego pieces I need, and those lego pieces are monsters.   Great basic pdf though, really, I'm not knocking it, and it's super cool that it's free. It's just that I can't use it at all and that kind of sucks.
