| #7lord_karsusApr 22, 2008 0:04:08 | -No, it doesn't exist anymore, and hasn't, for some time. The rule was put in place by WizO_BigSis, presumably care of higher ups, after there was a firestorm concerning a specific author and various practices of said author, as well as the FR Novels boards being a hotbed of negativity towards authors of all stripes. The FR Novels boards were removed- though, it was claimed that this had nothing to do with anything- and WizO_BigSis enforced the rule with an iron hand. And, good for her. When she left, WizO_Lyoness continued enforcing the rule. However, after her departure, the FR forums were left without a boards-specific WizO. As a result, things began to get lax, as there was no full time WizO, and those assigned to the FR boards had "doube duty", so to speak (who was it? WizO_Sith and WizO_The Hutt? WizO_Shadow, maybe?). Us boards members enforced the rule, but eventually (circa late '06 or so), we were told by a WizO- and, I don't remember which one- that the rule was no longer in effect, so long as the conversations were civil, and obeyed the CoC. |
| #8ZherogApr 22, 2008 6:36:17 | One correction -- WizO_BigSister didn't create the rule; she was just the person put on the firing line. The rule came from much higher up the chain. |

| #10ZherogApr 22, 2008 11:04:53 | I'm saying the word "presumably" is unnecessary. It was from the higher ups, by several levels. |
