If you log in with the temporary password, and change it, the forum still counts that login as being temporary, and resets the password 24 hours later, even though you have changed your password. In order to work around the bug, I eventually figured out to change my password, then log out, then log in again using the new password, so the session is not tagged as temporary and the new password is not reset. If you log in using the temporary password, subsequently changing your password should unflag that session as temporary. It took me weeks to figure out logging in, changing password, logging out, and logging in again. That is not something you want new users to do if you want to retain them. Smeelbo |
