I started to see a glitch today, when trying to enter a forum thread, only the grey background will appear, with a white stripe and i have to do F5 refresh until the page load up properly.

I experienced  it with both IE and Chrome.

Anyone else get this glitch ?

Yeah, I had it on and off all day yesterday.
I had it from three different computers that I tried, two using Firefox and the other Chrome.

Same here.

Wizards really needs to invest in people who actually know how to build a good website.

Yeah, with all the forum perusing we do we've definitely noticed this issue too. I passed it on up the pipeline to people who can get things done and hopefully we'll see this addressed soon. We'll keep you updated with any information we get.

Thank you Trevor!

(Yes, experiencing the same problem here too and sometime refresh don't correct it either!)

I've also been seeing this intermittently over the last three days. It doesn't affect every thread or thread-load and it seems to come and go generally, but it can take a lot of reload attempts to get past it when it does happen.

This isn't the first time this has happened (more like the third).  Hopefully whatever they did to 'fix' it last time will work again.

It is becoming very annoying.  Someone should really get this taken care of soon.

It seems that when you click on a thread three times it does not happen.

It seems that when you click on a thread three times it does not happen.

I've clicked 5, 6, 7 times and it still happens so I don't see any pattern with the number of times you click.  My guess is that it's a database connection issue and what we are seeing is the result of a return of  null data.

I've had this problem for a week now. I've used 4 different computers and three different browsers. I was going to create a thread about this a few days ago, but I gept on getting the grey background with the white stripe. It annoyed me so much, I just gave up trying to create the thread.

Well it worked for me.

Obviously.  That is why you posted it.

I just don't want people thinking that your luck is some kind of a solution or workaround that works every time...

These forums are so glitchy and broken they should burn it down and start over.

Well, except for the fact that before using OneSite, Wizards was able to provide a forum that worked.

I remember when the old forums would crash once or twice a month and all the forums would dissapear. And of course the surge of people when 4E was announced constantly overloaded the forums quite a bit. And then there is the archiving error that eat old posts instead of archiving them. There was also the error where it would give to a new black reply box when you tryied to post imsead of actually posting.

heck lets go to the archive.

My concern is that this is the third time this same issue has popped up.  Either they don't know how to fix it or they can't stop doing whatever it is that sets this off.  So when I hear they're working on it this time, I can't help remembering the two other times they said the exact same thing.

A big part of the problem is that apparently Bill Belichick is the head of OneSite or WotC or both - cuz I'm sure they could tell us what's going on but they don't.  It's better to hide everything and just let us wonder what it is that's broken this time.  If your opponent isn't sure whether or not Tom Brady is gonna start, well, that can be an advantage.  When your forum community isn't sure whether or not a thread will appear or not when they click on it and you refuse to give them anything in the way of information, though, it's ... not.  It just looks bad.
