How do I get in on a D&D Next playtest?

I nearly posted this in the "D&D Next" section of the boards, but none of the forums seemed to quite fit the question so I'm hoping that "Community Business" is appropriate. If not, perhaps a mod will move my thread.

I signed up to be a playtester months ago (as, I assume, did many others) and got confirmation that I was on "the list" but since have heard nothing. Meanwhile, when I read various boards out there on the net, I find occasional posts from folks who are playtesting D&D Next. Many of them are saying that D&D Next is looking great and that I should get in on a playtest if I get a chance.

Well ... how does one do it?

I guess I assumed that signing up and getting accepted would be a start, but it doesn't seem to be leading anywhere. Perhaps I missed something?

Hi Finarvyn,

I'm assuming you got your notification via email about being a playtest participant. It should have come from a wizards.com domain. Have you tried replying to the email you got?

I'll give that a try. The e-mail didn't seem to encouage a reply, but instead said that I'd be getting more information later....

I am pretty sure I followed the directions correctly, but I have not heard a peep since DnDNext was announced.  Is there anything else I should do?

The open playtest that you signed up for has not started yet.

Mithreinmaethor has it right. We're currently doing some private playtests, but the playtest that everybody can get in on, the one that you signed up to be notified about, hasn't begun yet. If you've signed up, you will receive some notification when the playtest starts.

Were we supposed to get any sort of immediate auto-reply when we signed up for the playtest?  I never got such an e-mail, so I tried a few more times and still got nothing (not even a "Quit doing that, you are already signed up" e-mail).
