Chances are, they're getting placed in the wrong threads/areas.

For example, this thread was supposed to be posted in the Community Business forum.
I find my posts by doing a search of my username.

If you want to be very sure not to lose a post, you should subscribe to the thread. Use the "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread and click "Subscribe to this Thread" and go through the rest of the steps.

You can then check under "My Account" at the top left of the screen for "View My Subscribed Threads" and it will show you a list of them.

You could also click on your name on a post, and it will bring up a menu about yourself. You can then click "Find all posts by [user]" and search through those.

Finally, you could perform an Advanced forum Search and type in your user name under the "User Name" search box.

Why?

Posts with the most recent replies go to the top of the page so threads with your posts can be a page or two down the list. Threads that you have responded in have a check mark in the "&" symbol in the leftmost column. If it's a hot topic though page counts for threads can rise quickly and you'd have to go back a ways to find your contribution. If you're looking for your posts several days after having made them then the thread can actually have moved WAY down the list because nobody's added to the discussion, or have MANY pages of new posts accumulated behind it because they HAVE added to the discussion. And, as mentioned, threads sometimes get moved to a more appropriate sub-forum.

Now you know the only reason this hasn't been shifted is because Wrecan wants to give him a chance to find it:angelhide

You can't put yourself on your own ignore list. I know. I've tried... *shame*
